The Englishman’s Greek Concordance of the New Testament: Coded with Strong’s Concordance Numbers
N**R
This replaced my Strong's.
I also own The Englishman's Hebrew Concordance Of The Old Testament by George V. Wigram and it is great. After getting it I gave away my Strong's and I use the Hebrew Concordance regularly. I bought this New Testament Concordance by the same author so that I can look up NT words if needed. I dont know Greek but I can use the English section to find all the Greek words corresponding to that English word in the KJV. Then I know the Greek words to look up and then I can see where they show up in the Greek NT. So, by having this and the Hebrew Concordance, I no longer need a Strong's at all. I believe that it is much more efficient and accurate to look up the Hebrew or Greek words. For example, most Hebrew words can be translated into two or more different English words depending on the context of the verse, paragraph, or chapter. So if you look up a English word in a English concordance, that word will probably have two or more Hebrew words that is was translated from. The only way to know the exact Hebrew word used and where and how often it was used, is with a Hebrew concordance. Even Blueletterbible.org has their 'concordance' set to use Hebrew and Greek, not English. So, having the Hebrew and Greek concordance is like an offline (and slower) version of Blueletterbible.org. Sometimes I still have to use my Hebrew concordance when Blueletterbible.org does not list a word in a verse due to commonality or some other reason.

A Great Tool With "Soft" Buyer Alerts
Wigram is a great scholar. This concordance is a fine companion tool along with his lexicon. Having been a New Testament Greek teacher for over thirty years, I cannot stress the importance of owning a Greek Concordance enough. I will say, having owned a couple of these Englishman's, sometimes the printing is not always bold and legible throughout the book. I did own a copy that was bold black. The importance to note is it becomes very difficult to see accent marks or distinguishing certain letters in Greek. Be sure from the vendor that you purchase one from they can assure you of the bold or pale typeset. Other than that, it is a quick way to learn your vocabulary words. But, remember, it is not an analytical lexicon. Meaning, it does not contain every breakdown of words conjugated or declined. My copies do contain a Strong's numbering system as well. To some of you that may be vital. With this book you may continue to be blessed by being " a workman who is not ashamed" ( 2 Tim. 2: 15 ). Blessings as you dig into God's Word with the additional assistance of a Greek Concordance.

Nessessary for Accurate Bible Word Studies
This is one of the most important books to use for real Bible study, Along with the The Englishman's Hebrew Concordance also. The Scriptures were not originally written in English. .... These are like "dictionaries" in their own language. Without understanding of the original languages of the Bible many people are misunderstanding what the Bible is all about! Instead of looking up the English word you look up the Greek word by using the Strongs Concordance numbers. Then when you find the Greek word it gives you Short Bible references wherever that Greek word is used in the Bible. This helps you to see the different ways it has been translated into English.

Poor Quality Binding
It's an excellent reference source for word studies. The particular volume I purchased is as shown. Like others who have reviewed this book, the print is sometimes a problem and yes, invest in a magnifying glass. Another problem for me is the binding. Although the covers and physical pages are in good shape, the binding is of a very poor quality. Within a few months a small section of pages separated from the spine. Gradually, more and more sections have followed course and it's a bit of a hassle when researching. Going to try a new glue, see if it works. If not, may have to purchase another one, not the one shown here.

Biblical Studies
Great tool for studying where the Holy Spirit used a certain Greek word, without knowing or reading Greek. I can see, in context, where and how a word is used in Scripture for a picture of a word's meaning. When used in conjunction with Strong's, to get the numbers, and with the J. P. Green interlinear keyed to Strong's numbers, you have a very useful tool.

excellent resource
This is a great resource to look up every time a specific Greek word is translated. I bought a used one and on some pages mostly at the top se ink is missing making it difficult to read but otherwise very good resource

Great for indepth Biblical research
Recommended by a Biblical scholar as better than Strongs. I am still a little uncomfortable using it as it is different than Strongs which I haveused for years The main value is that it gives the word in "conext" which means that the nuances of the Greek become more clear.

Useful
This is an asset to any Bible student. It lists analytically every English word used in the NT, and immediately links you in to the correct Greek word listed under which you'll find it. For example, the Aramaic word Abba is used 3 times, and the 3 mentions are listed. It also gives you the Strong's number where you'll find it also listed. At the back, there are 2 indexes. The first English to Greek, where the page number is noted for each different Greek word as translated into English. Also, with a word like "out" where it is used with a verb, e.g. blot (out), bring (out), carry (out), a useful link is offered to help you find the correct entry The second is a Greek English index, in which you'll find every translation of the Greek word into English

Very happy with this purchase!
From day one when it arrived, I started referencing words and was easily learning something new. I would recommend this as a great resource for beginners and for the advanced. I bought it to help me reference and expand on my English-Greek Reverse Interlinear New Testament, ESV. This ESV has the complete listing of every Strongs number for the Greek text throughout the NT, which makes it very handy to quickly look up in The Englishman's Greek Concordance. I have to say, that these two make a great combination! The book arrived in excellent condition and arrived on time, thanks!

Eine umfassende Konkordanz des griechischen Neuen Testaments.
Eine große Hilfe für das Studium des griechischen Neuen Testaments. Es werden alle griechischen Wörter im Neuen Testament angegeben und die Versabschnitte, in denen das Wort vorkommt, in Englisch aufgeführt.
