This is a very well made tool, I haven't made any network cables for over a decade. I need to construct a Cat 6 STP cable for a Generator project and made the first cable - two connections perfect first time. I love the pass thru design and the provided network tester was intuitive to use and accurate. As I have had no data errors on the custom cable. All the tools worked as advertised, high quality and very functional.

Where were these 20 years ago when I wired my house? The tool itself is smaller than I expected, but all the bells and whistles are there and they work as advertised. The cable tester is fine, though basic, and appropriate for the price.

The tool works fine, and will get you out of a jam in a pinch. I will start off by saying the connectors that come with this kit are not suitable for cat6 or above. Every cable I made with a cat6 cable using these connectors wouldn't go over 100Mbps with cable rated for 10Gbps. I remade those cables several times, and finally with cat6 jack ends at which point the cables got the proper throughput. The tool however, is of good quality overall. The cutter splits cables with ease. The stripper works, just be aware you will cut your colored wires if you try to spin it like you do with the little push down cutters, so give it a no spin squeeze, maybe a jiggle, then just yank the jacket off with your hand. The crimper works fine, with the connectors I used in it, they appeared to seat well(note: I gave it three solid presses) and hold the cable good with cable that has a core. With the connectors that came with it, there was a few times I didn't feel like the press seating well enough, so I used my 25 year old crimper to make sure. Every cable I have made with this tool has worked without question, regardless of the note above about the speed issues with the included connectors. If you need a kit, don't get this. Find one where you can verify the rating of the included connectors and etc. If all you need is a tool, this tool will work, go find a tool only package. This kit, or a tool, is good bang for the buck if you can catch it on a discount. I wouldn't pay the full retail price for it, and instead recommend searching around more.

Really made well with plenty of extra. Able to use with ease. Cuts and strips easy. Crimps easy enough even with old hands. The tool is really solid and will probably outlast me. The tester worked after adding a battery and may not outlast me. Will see . extra blades, other tools and plenty of cat 6 connectors and stress releafs.

This kit worked great and easy to follow for someone who has never terminated cables before.

It is a good product. My security camera connecter was broken. I have fix it with this tool and camera is working perfectly fine. Money saver.

Excellent product. Solid built. After reading the reviews I was a bit dubious as there are a few negatives. I’ve almost used all the supplied plugs and not had a single issue. Yes it’s fiddly to line the cables up in order and put them in the plug but that’s the same no matter what crimper and plugs you buy. It’s a fiddly job. I feel all the negative reviews are human error and not this tool. Is easy and straightforward to use. Highly recommend. Blades are sharp and cuts perfect. Just got to make sure the plug is pushed right into the tool when you cut.

Works well for crimping ethernet, easy to learn to do and the tester makes it so much easier. The crimping tool feels solid and the stripper and cutter work as expected. Overall it’s a convenient tool for ethernet cables especially when needing to crimp a lot.
