The Boots Forehead Thermometer measure infra-red energy radiated from the artery under the skin of the forehead and surrounding tissue. This energy is captured by the thermometer and converted to a temperature value. Temperature maybe measured whilst the child is sleeping, this item contains no glass or mercury. Last reading automatically displayed for 3 seconds when unit is turned on. Has a facility to recall the last 12 measurements enabling the tracking of temperature changes. Fever Alarm alerts user to raised temperatures
