With This Man (A This Man Novel)

A Must buy Romance series! 5 Stars but I'd like to give it 10 (Cried through book 3 & 4) Some gun violence, lots of steamy hot sex! I want to start off saying I bought my 2 books full price on Amazon. Purchased kindle book since it takes Amazon too long for the mailed ones to get here. I like reading it the minute they come out so I can share in the fun of discussing the story on FB. I have both formats for each book except the Novella (sorry Drew I don't think yours is in print?) I can say I feel this book has more of everything then the last 3.5 could give us. This book like the rest was so unbelievably great. I was already far invested in all the old characters that the new characters flowed into the story seamlessly for me. I dare say this series really has it all. Books made me fall in love with Ava & Jesse all over again plus their extended assortment of wild crazy friends. I wanted the villains to fall without damaging the characters I have loved. Heck Yes if The Manor existed in N.Y. I would definitely join although it would be just a dream because I'm sure membership would be insane $$$$$. A woman can dream. My husband's free in my bed every night so I guess I will stick with him. I love you Honey! The author JEM is amazing. I mean completely over the top amazing to us fans all over the world on Twitter & FB. JEM releasing book 4 of this series is a gift none of us thought she would write. It's good to be back with this group/family of characters we all love. JEM gave us all in this book-> romance, breath taking fear, thrilling turns through the twisting plot, adorable kids and in her epilogue her look many many years into the future. This epilogue killed me as I know I was darn lucky to get book 4 so there is no way now that there will be a book 5. *Hint* if book 5 ever comes (maybe Maddie's wedding?) I will be the 1st person to buy a copy or two! I hope I have convinced you to take a chance to dive head first this summer into "This Man" world. I know Jesse, Ava, Kate, Sam, Drew and John will not allow you to put their books down until you have completed their stories! There are four full books as well as one novella on Drew. Enjoy! This Man series is not to be missed. It is a most unusual journey for Jesse and Ava: their joy, their pain, their steam, their hilarity, their passion, their sorrow, their redemption. Jodi Ellen Malpas is a gifted story teller! She writes with sensitivity, passion, intelligence, and is uncanny with conversation that makes you forget that these people are not real. Bravo!

As I sit here I am finding it extremely hard for any words to flow. Writing this review is hard, and I mean really hard, because I am truly at a complete loss to articulate into words how much love I have for this novel. I am a HUGE fan of the This Man Series. It’s a series that I read some time ago, and it simply took my breath away. So when I found out that we were getting more of Jesse and Ava I was ecstatic but also a little apprehensive. And why? Because for me the series ended perfectly, Jesse and Ava’s story was pure perfection and I had no idea where JEM would take us. So as I sit here contemplating my own words of offering, I must say I have been completely blown away. With This Man for me was nothing short of sheer perfection. From beginning to end I was transfixed, held hostage with every turn of a page. We get to see our beautiful power couple, Jesse and Ava through Jesse’s eyes. Told from Jesse’s POV, it definitely gave me a different perspective on their relationship. It was seeing their love story at a complete different angle. And I soaked up every minute of it. But the curve ball here is the loss of Ava’s memory. After an accident and a head trauma, Ava is left with a gaping hole in her memory. Sixteen years has been wiped from her mind. In Ava’s eyes, she’s still in her twenties, unmarried with no children. She’s young and carefree. Jesse is naturally devastated, left completely broken. The love of his whole existence has no memory of him, has no memory of their children. She isn’t his Ava, but she is. All Jesse knows is he will move heaven and earth to help Ava remember, even if that means starting from the beginning. This is Jesse and Ava’s story. I won’t say much more other than With This Man is the complete package. A highly emotional, raw and at times confronting read that I know you won’t be able to put down. The emotional pull was all consuming often finding myself wiping away the tears. I could literally feel the ache in Jesse’s chest. I could literally feel the hurt and frustration felt by Ava. It literally took my breath away. Such a powerful novel. Jesse and Ava you will stay with me always. Your story is one of pure uniqueness. 5 stars

Although this series started out rough for me I can’t say I’m disappointed at all with reading it nor am I disappointed or upset with the way things ended and this book also. I wasn’t sure that another book was needed after the last but trust me when I say this book is the icing on the cake. Great plot twist, definitely wondering what was going to happen next and how things were going to work out. I enjoyed every second of this book. I loved how things worked out and the understanding that comes with it. Originally I saw Ava as weak and Jesse as a controlling ass and I could t understand how she could allow him to manipulate her the way he did but I have to say that the last book and this one make everything make sense and it’s all explained. I loved the family aspect in this book the most. I loved seeing Ava as a mother and Jesse as a devoted husband and father. I was there right with them as they fought their way together in this book. I highly recommend it. The whole series. I have to say that if you have a hard time as I did with the controlling aspect, hang in there. It gets better and things are made more clear if you just hang on. Stick with it. It’s well worth it.

I am beyond thankful for this book. Jesse Ward will forever be my favorite man of every book in this world. I am so happy I got to see everythinf through his mind this time, especially Ava. Motherhood makes Ava who she truly is. I always hsd a feeling she was a bit immature in the trilogy for the silly things she did and acted but now I see this is how they are. She defies him, and that makes his heart beat. I love them both. They have no age in my head.. they are eternal. Jesse Ward is simply everything. There is nothing about him I'd change. I'll come back to This Man whenever I need a dose of crazy, a dose of pure love and determination. I only wish I find my own Jesse one day. To treat me and love me like he does Ava. Thank you forever giving us the story of Jesse and Ava. ❤

This Man Trilogy in one of my favorite series of all time and this last installment was one of my most anticipated book this year. And let me tell you that author JEM did not disappoint. She delivered the perfect ending to this fan-freaking-tastic epic series. It was a wonderful experience to rediscover one of the most powerful and beautiful love story that I had the joy of reading and featuring two of the most endearing characters, ever. I fell in love with Ava and Jesse all over again, if not even more. This book takes place 12 years into their marriage. They are happily married with their beloved 11-years-old twins, Jacob and Maddie. The chemistry between these two is still electrifying and their love for each other still passionate, intense, all-consuming, and stronger than ever. Their life is nothing short of perfection until Ava has a terrible accident causing her to lose the memory of the last 16 years of her life. Ava can’t remember anything about her husband and her kids and for Jesse this cold and hard reality is just pure agony. She thinks she’s twenty-two, single and just starting out in her career. Jesse is determined to move mountains to make sure she finds him and the twins amid that chaos in her poor head. There’s no way he’s going to allow their history to slip away like it never happened. Once again Jesse will have to trample anything in his sight to get what he wants. And he wants his wife back desperately. The woman he can’t live without, the woman who holds his life in her hands. ‘This head of yours.’ I gently stroke down her cheek, relishing her slight nuzzle into my palm. ‘It’s been consumed by me for twelve years, lady. He is one of my favorite book boyfriends, and I frankly love the way his mind works. Mr. Dominate Controlling Obsessive and Hotter than hell Lord of The Manor is back in all his glory. All over again I was completely enthralled with Ava and Jesse’s story. The story line is addictive and captivating and the sex between these two is always hot and explosive. I adored their kids too. They rounded out the story line and added a lot to my reading happiness. And let's not forget all the other amazing supporting characters, old friends Kate, Sam, Drew, Raya and John who complement this story wonderfully by giving it even more value, depth and emotion. I think this ending was beautiful and so perfect for this explosive, passionate and intense couple. This book showcased wonderfully the strength of Ava and Jesse’s love, their deep-soul-love connection and I loved every word of it. Brillant!

I really enjoyed Malpas fourth installment in her This Man series. As usual, I read it way too fast, so I may have to read it again, but it was really enjoyable. I think their story is really done now, and it felt very satisfying. Some old foes return and the whole memory loss issue is really intriguing. For those of you who enjoyed the previous 3 This Man books, I thoroughly recommend " With This Man".

When I found out JEM was releasing another book in the JESSE series I was so happy and over the moon. I ordered it straight away. I didn't even need to read the blurb. It was Jesse I knew the book was going to be amazing. When I read the Blurb I was like WOW, it sounds so good but also made my brain go into overdrive with Ava loosing all of her memory and all of Jesse, I was like no she has to remember Jesse and all of their amazing life together. I was so excited when the book arrived and couldn't wait to get stuck into it. I got engrossed in the book straight away and couldn't wait to read the book more. I even booked a day off work just to read this book. I loved the beginning and seeing how happy they still were together after 10 years of marriage. it made my heart swell with love. And then when the accident happened my heart started beating faster, and then when Ava woke up and didn't remember Jesse that made my heart break and shatter into a million pieces and I couldn't cope, I felt so sorry for Jesse after he had found his spark, and the one thing keeping his heart beating and now she was gone. I was screaming at my book for Jesse to give Ava a reminded and make her remember. I loved going back down memory lane with both of them and relieving some of their adventure and life together, and Ava finishing sentences with words she does not know where were coming from. The more I read the book, the more gripped I became in it. As I was getting towards the end of the book I was like no, I don't want it to end and had thoughts that Ava would never get her memory back. At the end of the book I had such a big cry. I was overjoyed that Ava had remembered everything but sad about John, but his memory was going to live on. The epilogue was perfect and felt it ended Jesses and Avas adventure and life with the kids together perfectly. Jesse will also be my favourite book boyfriend, and when I am lost about what to read I also go back and have a re read of my Jesse. Reading his books from the beginning after a while is like reading them from the beginning again, and I always get excited to go on a new adventure with Jesse. I am now hooked on all of Jodi's books and they are always amazing and make me feel so my different exmotions from heartbreak, love, my heart beating faster, amazment, shock. and always give my a massive book hangover.
