and various species of wasp are also attracted to the sweet meal. Second
It gets two stars because it’s a neat idea and could be made to work if reengineered and done correctly.First problem, and I should’ve noticed this from the start, is that when a bottle is in the feeder, it will not fully insert into the hive. This means some sugar water is exposed OUTSIDE of the hive, which not only invites, but actually incites robbing behavior... and not only other bees, but yellow jackets, hornets, and various species of wasp are also attracted to the sweet meal.Second... no compensation for hive tilt. Sugar water is thicker than just water. And no liquids will run uphill very far. The result is that with standard hive tilt, only about the first third of the trough fills with sugar water. This product may be useful for something, so long as it isn’t feeding honeybees housed in Langstroth beehives.

Works ok once modified, only a few bottles fit
Some bottles fit, others do not. Base is not sturdy enough when half filled, and if not what n flat surface runs out the end over the small lip. If you can get it pretty flat it works fine, but had to mount to board to keep from falling over.

I would recommend a different entrance feeder or use a frame feeder
These are cheaply made and do not tighten securely to the pop bottle. I would recommend a different entrance feeder or use a frame feeder.
