Cheese Slicer Stainless Steel Wire Cutter With Serving Board for Hard and Semi Hard Cheese Butter

Bought to use in a commercial kitchen.Works well on goats cheese/stilton but not strong enough for large cheddar block.First wire lasted 2 months but it came with replacements and we put the product through a dishwasher which will weaken it.

Works fine but the spare wires are different to the one that is supplied fitted

I bought this after reading the reviews and seeing generally positive information. Unfortunately my experience was not so good. When I opened the box I was initially pleased but on unwrapping I found the slicer to be in a very dirty condition and one of the plastic feet was missing. I cleaned the cutter then tried the motion of the arm. The arm was so loosely connected that it wobbled around and did not naturally fall into the slot in the base. The arm was connected by two screws. One had clearly been over-tightened in the past with the screw head so rounded that it was unusable, yet was still relatively loose. The other screw was barely in at all. With the rounded one tightened by hand and the other tightened with a screwdriver I gave it one chance at cutting. The wire is decent enough and went through some hard cheese with no problem. Well, 95% of the way through because the screws immediately loosened again so that the wire didn't make it into the slot.It's a real shame because the item looks nice once cleaned up and the wire works well. Using a coupe of nyloc nuts instead of bolting into thin metal and adding a plastic washer or two would have kept the arm tight. I would probably have done it myself had there not been a missing foot too.

Item is great, easy to use and I can finely cut cheese again easily as I've arthritis in my hands. So reduced star rating But only downside and disappointment was , I didn't receive any spare blades as it states spares included but sadly not.

I eat lots of cheese. Too much cheese, probably, but hey. Cutting with a knife can be a pain at times, especially with softer cheeses, and I wanted something that would make it easier. This caught my eye because of the design - I love stainless steel. It also looked like it would do what I wanted, so I decided to give it a go. I haven't been disappointed. It looks great and is simple to use - although my wife managed to break the wire, the first time she used it. She had the cheese at the back of the tray (nearer to her) which put the wire under too much stress. If you put the cheese at the 'top' (away from you) you don't have any problems. The wire was a little fiddly to replace but makes sense once you do it the first time - and you need to be careful when cleaning it by moving the wire / handle away from the unit. I'm now using this regularly and it's also helping me to moderate my intake as I can cut uniform pieces for sandwiches and crackers. It also looks good, when not in use, sitting on the side.

This is my very first purchase of a cheese slicer , I certainly chose the right one to buy . It’s very easy to use , don’t know why I’ve waited so long to buy one . The wire is easy to use , there are none slip feet on the base , but I also use an extra piece of none slip mat as I wouldn’t want it slipping when in use , maybe it’s my kitchen work surface that is more slippy hence me using extra none slip mat . It’s very good value for money . The only cheese I’ve used is hard cheese , but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work on any type of cheese .

This item looked super as advertised. However when it arrived it was not only broken but very flimsey and poorly made. Very disappointed. Returned for a full refund. Also - I knew the size before buying it and appreciated it would be small. You can literally only slice a small piece of cheese on it though.

Nice quality cheese cutter. Due to its small size of the board, it can be a bit tricky to cut some cheeses, but we have tried it on a variety of different types (soft and hard cheese) and cuts perfectly on all. Arrived promptly and we were pleased it came with spare wire. Overall a nice product that we are happy with.
