The trio interpret hard bop compositions by Sonny Clark, Hank Mobley, Kenny Dorham and Freddie Redd, plus one each by Big John Patton and Misha Mengelberg; all condensed, modulated and transmogrified by Zorn s alto, Lewis s trombone, and Frisell as the one-man rhythm section on guitar.

very entertaining, and a very good album , as far as I am concerned.I'd get the news for lulu album too, possibly before this one.Highly recommended.
