Works like a dream
Brought this for my wide after she struggled with the handheld simple slicerSo much easier and quickier - at least 10-20 times faster and really easy to useIf you have any quanity of beans to do then this is for you.

Very good bean slicer
This is an excellent bean slicer, only problem I found was support for the dish underneath , especially good for floppy beans,well pleased with the item.

Much easier than any of the push through cutters
Does a good ob and SO much easier to use than the little hand ones.Prepare the beans, turn the handle and feed in the beans.Only down sides:Cleaning is a little fiddly.Doesn't remove strings so need to use a pealer to de-string first.Clamp not wide enough for a thick worktop.Mounts on edge of table so you need to hold bowl under in between knees.

It works but is not easy to clamp.
If you can find a surface thin enough to clamp it to & you dont mind having to keep tightening the clamp after every couple of beans then it's a brilliant product! I had to use my dressing table which is not ideal but that's the thinnest surface in my house. I also tried putting kitchen roll between each surface of the clamp to try & make it grip better, sometimes it helps but I find it easier just to put a bean in & then hold the shredder while I turn the handle. I've become quite used to doing it that way, it could be alot better but even with the issues it's much better than those awkward little square gadgets you can get!

Not built to last
Put through two or three servings of beans and already the handle slips and will only slice the tiniest of beans. A regular scarlet runner will not go through. This happened with our previous slicer but only after 4 or 5 years of use. I am so disappointed.

Habe diese Bohnenschneidemaschine gekauft, da die alte Maschine nach vielen Jahren defekt war. Diese Maschine ist sogar noch besser verarbeitet als die Alte.
