Homax41072042963 Aerosol Wall Texture, Orange Peel, Water Based, 10 oz, White

I was having a hard time getting the texture right on a wall patch that I did. I purchased this texture spray and it created the exact texture it promises to make. Unfortunately, my patch job was lumpy and the surrounding texture was not exactly orange peel. My walls are in a 40 year old apartment and have multiple textures and old patch jobs going on. This product, however, delivers exactly what it says it will. The wall looks so much better. I highly recommend if you need orange peel texture. Goes on blue, dries white, and was super easy to clean up the nozzle.

If you follow the directions, this stuff really works. Make sure you test the spray on a piece of cardboard. Getting the closest match to your existing texture is important. Follow the instructions. Don't spray too close and move the can to create a random pattern. Shake the can vigorously for the recommended time and throughout the application. Keep a damp rag handy. If you make a mistake or over-spray, you can wipe it up quickly. Your area will be ready for paint in the recommended time. Try to wait until you have a large area or more than one area to texture. This doesn't keep forever in the can. Buy the smaller can unless you have a huge project.

UPDATE: I did NOT shake the can long enough - shake it like a crazy person for over a minute! The product dispenses much better.I removed the lower tab. The nozzle will not stay attached to the can. Using both hands I can get the nozzle to dribble solution down the front of the can. I tried various nozzle patterns. On heavy there is more dribble down the front of the can. Would not buy again. Complete waste of money.

This was the first time I’ve ever used a product like this. I purchased it to repair the wall where I had a TV mount previously. It was super easy to use and the end result looked perfect.

I bought a total of 12 cans of this texture. It worked fine, but my major complaint is the coverage. I was redoing and area of may 45 sqft. This area had three open archways and a door. So the actual square footage was probably around 35 sqft. It took 12 cans of this texture to cover that 35 sqft. So that equals about 3 sqft per can at 14-18 dollars a can, doing a larger area would definitely be extremely expensive.
