They sound good and stay on
Are they as good as earbuds... that depends. Overall, the sound is very good... not as good as in-the-ear buds, but at lower volumes and around the house, for most types of music they are great... a little muffled at times, but very good. Mowing the lawn... also pretty good. Balancing sound coming in from the environment vs the music takes a little doing and you end up blocking out a lot of the environment, but not as much as with traditional buds. Speech isn't quite as good but it can be enhanced a tiny bit with an app setting. It's good enough for phone calls and podcasts. The big difference is that these things stay PUT no matter what you're doing - they don't slip out, they aren't affected by sweat, jarring... nothing and that is why I bought them. I got so sick of constantly trying to cram buds back in my sweaty ears as they slowly (or quickly) slide out. These things just stay on. BTW, the sizing is dead on - super glad I went for the smaller size, because the loop behind my head doesn't get hit or pushed around. They are also comfortable - I've worn them for hours at a time - and the battery life is better than my Samsung buds. At higher volumes, they vibrate your skin in a tickly/buzzy way, but given what they are, that's expected. I haven't felt the need to turn them up THAT high anyway as the volume is sufficient for things like mowing the lawn and vacuuming where I'm intentionally trying to drown out the machine. Zero regret purchase. Oh, and I saw some complaints on the charging system in other reviews, but I LIKE their proprietary, magnetic system. I just super don't care if I have to carry another cord... I'm already carrying, like, three of them anyway for my watch, phone, and whatever, so what's one more?

My dad has been loving these
Bought these for my dad for Father's Day. He has been using these everyday. He says they are comfortable and use them while going on walks. He likes the ability to hear the surrounding and easy to answer phone calls.

Great for 'background music'
This is my 3rd set of headphones from this brand. I started with the Trekz Airs: reasonably warm sound, some bass, highs were a bit lacking, then the Aeropex: detailed highs but very little bass (less than the Airs), then the OpenRun Pros: great highs and a reasonable amount of bass for bone conduction headphones - these bring together the best bits of the 2 previous generations and then polish the end result a bit. The sound from the OpenRuns is really rather pleasant, I'd give it an 8/10, and it loses 2 marks because in an A/B comparison with almost any set of in/over-ear headphones, you'd notice a huge loss in bass frequencies, but in isolation, the sound is really quite nice.So why pay £159 for a set of headphones that lack bass? Well, for me, these are about having some background music running while I'm focussed on other things: playing with/walking my dogs, doing jobs around the house etc, without being isolated from the sounds that I need to hear while doing these things. The second thing is the comfort and convenience. If I'm wearing these without music playing, I can literally forget I'm wearing them - a bit like when I look for my reading glasses and then realise I'm already wearing them. Also, no pushing things into my ears, no dropping and losing tiny earbuds in a field, no having to fiddle with putting earbuds into a case, no sweaty ears from large headphones covering my ears etc. When I'm not using these headphones, they lightly clamp to my neck - very convenient, and very quick to put back over my ears. Also, they take up very little space and are rugged enough that I can throw them into a bag without worrying about them getting damaged. Also good for dog walking in heavy rain - no worries there, unlike most large headsets. In summary, if you are lucky enough to be able to sit back on a sofa, close you eyes, shut out the outside world and focus on your music, then go for something else. If you need to be aware of what's going on around you and want nice sounding background music while you are focussed on other things, don't hesitate, get these! I do recommend tweaking the sound with the EQ in your music app though - bring down the mid frequencies a bit and bring up the high frequencies. You can also push the bass up a little bit, but it will start to distort if you push it significantly.I hope this was helpful!

Disappointed
I did try the Shoks run pro and was disappointedThese open air, not bone conduction, od SoundPEATS open air run (not the light) are less than 50% of the cost of the Shokz and sound much better.Only negative point ... the buttons are not easy to manipulate.
