I was thrilled to get this eyelet (broderie anglaise) dress but very disappointed in the product. The fit is very narrow in the upper bust, shoulders and upper arms. According to the size chart, and the description, the measurements are off. I will probably deconstruct the dress and transform it into a tunic top. The sleeve design is cute, just too tight. The belled sleeves are on trend. The mandarin collar and placket front don't hang right and cause the hemline to hang weird. Other than the embroidered fabric, there are no other embellishments or embroidery details like scalloped lace or entredeaux. The narrow hem is finished nicely as are all the seams.BRODERIE ANGLAISE

Oh my goodness! The design of this dress is crazy flattering on my 5'3" apple shaped body and the eyelet is the prettiest I have ever seen. The sleeves are adorable. The eyelet is definitely too open weave to wear this as a dress without an under layer of some type.I like it so much though I'm hunting for a white cotton slip to wear underneath. I hate slips so that tells you how much I love this dress.The 100% cotton and flowing cut of the garment mean it will be an easy breezy summer dress.Certainly as a swimsuit cover up it would be great as is or if you are tall it could be worn with a cami over leggings too.The negatives: that cool cotton will also mean shrinkage so I washed on gentle in cold water and hung to dry.Wrinkling was minimal fortunately. I also think the size chart is off a bit. I got this in 2X. As the chest and shoulders are the most fitted part of the item the chest measurement meant I should've had room to spare but it is definitely tight in the bust so I cannot accommodate any shrinkage and wear it buttoned.There is zero stretch.For reference I wear 42DDD bra.

This is NOT a cocktail dress as it has no lining and is completely see through. I still have it 5 stars though because it's a great swimsuit cover up. I love eyelet and that is has long sleeves. Not sure about sun protection, but I like this a lot as a cover up. I suppose you could get away with this as a dress if you wore a slip underneath.

In the pictures on Amazon this dress looks flowy and loose. And on yhe size chart the dress size I ordered was supposed to be very oversized for me. Yet the item that arrived is tight in the bust and sewn for a very short torso. It is also a very thin and flimsy fabric, and quite sheer in terms of what it exposes. All in all it looks like an abomination on because it seems to be tailored for very petite frames, even in larger sizes.

I ordered based on the description and size chart but wow, this really runs small in the bust and the material has absolutely zero give to it. I can wear relatively comfortably it if I unbutton the top button but of course that means I need something underneath it - which you probably want regardless as the material is definitely more sheer than it appears in the photos. Could function well as a swim cover up, but you'll want to size up one or even two sizes for comfort!

Ok so I’m not a dress kind of girl,and this dress is the perfect kind of dress for me. It’s cotton,it’s roomy, and it is sewn really well! I’ve said it before! I am picky with my clothing. I am 64 and i really love cotton. Beware tho, the material has holes in it, they are supposed to be there. So in my opinion it needs to have a slip or something worn under it. I put my black leggings on and my black camisole on under it. Cute and warm. I might also use it for a swimsuit cover up. It’s not as light weight as it looks but it’s not a winter garment.lol perfect for spring and summer!

This is a gorgeous dress. Will definitely be wearing this summer. Very see-through so you must wear something underneath but that's no issue. The material is a nice quality. Not cheap feeling or looking. Very well made. I recommend!

I love this dress! It looks so easy breezy and even better in person. I’m glad that I had a skin toned body suit. I felt less exposed with the bodysuit covering my undergarments.
