I had never previously seen a book by Mandy Shaw but I'm an absolutely huge fan now. I am a moderately accomplished quilter but, being self taught, I probably lack the inspiration to design my own "freestyle" wall hangings.Well, not any longer. I have learned how to make "bow tie" blocks and folded "flying geese" blocks - the instructions are clear, concise and really work.Mandy's writing style is light hearted and certainly gave me the confidence to "have a go" at my own wall hanging.Dear reader, if you are looking for something to inspire you then I warmly recommend this beautifully illustrated book. The projects include birthday, new baby and wedding wall hangings; a quilted bag; a welcome sampler wall hanging (my absolute favourite); celebration bunting and a Christmas wall hanging plus many more smaller (and larger) projects.The other great joy is that Mandy is a British writer so there are no Americanisms to get your head around - bliss.I commend this book to the house!

Arrived quickly, it’s a used library book that had only been taken out 4 times. I’m very happy with the excellent condition of the book. A great buy!

This book is ok but not quiet what I wanted. It has some interesting projects but most are a bit on the ordinary side. I will possibly make one project out of this book - may Even!

I have had this book for quite a while, it is fab, lots of great projects. My quilt club had a go at the front cover quilt and everyone enjoyed doing it, all achieved the topper in the day. I love the chicken place mate and will get round to having a go. There is something for everyone in this book.

Always love Mandy's books, no children in family to do stuff for, but lovely projects and nice clear explanations, with measurements given. Quirky way of making stuff, to start with, as I have been quilting etc for over 47 years I thought "THAT won't work" - but you have to have faith because IT DOES!!!!

Very good book to own. I had seen some of the finished projects at a local Quilt show - I managed to get the book from the library - liked it so much - I bought it. Very clear instructions, good diagrams and photographs.

Really quick delivery. Very easy book to read and follow. Can't wait to start some of the projects that are shown. Hope I can do the book justice as I am only just starting out with stitching projects.

Love this. I have only just received this book but having had a look through the projects look reasonably easy. A lovely project is Clarence the Chicken. I hope to have a lot of fun from this book.

The fuschia color is so bright and eyecatching. Our little one loves them and doesn't want to take them off.

This was a brand new book and instructions are quite simple to follow. Have finished piecing the scrappy quilt shown on the front cover!
