Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (Xbox Series X) - Golden Joystick Nominee

I missed out on the first space marines so this was a great treat.I loved the campaign I just wish it was longer but then again I'm sure I would be asking it to never end.The warhammer 40k universe is just amazing and is my first time dipping my toes in and I'm addicted.Multilayer was fun but it's my cup of tea but looking forward to seeing what the season pass brings in the future.

Fun game to learn and to improve on

I've been a fan of 40k since the rogue trader days and always excited to see what they can do in video games . There's have been some huge hits (like Dawn of War) and some misses .This is the sequel to a very enjoyable action adventure from several years ago.The style has changed a bit towards a third person co-op or single player third person shooter/slasher, a Gears of War type game.It's brilliant alone or with a friend . It looks incredible (and visualises that world so perfectly it's a constant joy).Gameplay is smooth and excellent , it feels like the sheer volume of enemies needed modern systems to be possible .Overall a fantastic game. One not just for 40k fans but any who enjoy SF games and shooters .

Wicked to see Captain Tits back again, if only as a LT this time. Not sure what the new 2nd company Captain is about, comes across as a bit of a wet wipe. And was pretty obvs the Chaplain was Leandros, an absolute tool. Only complaint, not enough weapon choices….all those bolted variants seemed pointless, they all cleanse, purge and kill the same at the end of the day.

The story mode is what a shooter game should be, fast paced fun and visceral. Co-op operations are great fun but currently only have 6 maps so there is a fair amount of repeat but still woth different classes etc enjoyable. PvP is I feel in need of work but still serviceable. But I would give this game 10/10 just for the story mode alone. The rest is just extras.
