This is a halfway decent chin strap, but it has a design flaw, like almost any out there. However, it is still better than most, and I will continue to buy this quarterly. First, remember that all chin straps are disposable and should not be worn for more than a few months before disposal. This applies even with daily washing or the use of a UV lamp. This is because your skin has bacteria on it, and you'll end up with a rash or acne without proper daily cleaning, but cleaning only goes so far. Not washing your chin strap daily is like wearing the same clothes every day without washing them, or like never taking a shower. So, with that being said, the red side of this product should be the side that is directly on your face, not the black side. This is because rubbery or stretchy materials are not breathable, can lead to bacterial growth, cause ingrown hairs, and usually result in a rash or acne, especially if you are prone to acne. Now that you know how to use this, the red side sits nicely on your skin. Although the material breathes a little, the rubbery side keeps the red side lasting longer, but it limits the red side's breathability. The red fabric still seems to be ok, and I don't mind it. As far as the fit, it's lightweight, there are no huge parts that get strapped with velcro on top of your head behind your head, which is nice. It works better than most of the products out there. I've tried a lot because most of these chin strap companies go out of business within a year because to many people return after using for just shy of the 30 day window to get replacements and most people don't understand how chin straps work or understand that all chin straps are disposable in nature because of sanitary reasons and methods of cleaning break them down. This chin strap seems to hold up a good bit longer than the competitors, and the red fabric is soft on the skin without making you sweat. My only complaint is that the velcro is on the wrong side, which is a design flaw, but I don't mind considering it's hard to find a good chin strap. I ordered several more because I like this one, despite the issue mentioned below, which places the excess flapping around behind your head.

I have what would be considered a large head, not metaphorically speaking. This chinstrap does the job. I’m on oxygen and when my mouth opens I’m not getting the oxygen that I need. So it’s very critical that I wear device like this now unfortunately. The only downside is your head will sweat underneath the synthetic sponge that the strap is made of. Not a big deal. It appears to be made of materials and should last me.. After their to of wearing lying, use a little dish soap wash it in the sink and hang it up and wear it again that night. It’s a good choice

Made my face and chin break out, is too hot all night, pulls my hair out, is heavier than silicone thin types, neoprene doesn't suit me at all.

This is a bit large for the average head but I was able to adjust it. It does the job to keep my mouth closed but it is so hot. I wake up with my chin sweating. Also it has to be washed frequently. It's better than what I had before but I wish it was available in a more breathable fabric and in regular size instead of extra large.

Ended up returning because it wasn't the right product, but good quality.

This chin strap is strong enuf and reliable to support my lower jaw from dropping open at night. And, I have headgear for my CPAP machine; the strap keeps the gear from wiggling off as I sleep.

It works as expected but it does get warm under straps overnight. May need washing every day. It needs getting used to putting on .
