Great solution for a more permanet home charger.
Dialed it down to 40 AMP due to its connection with Nema 1450. But 40 amp is plenty of power to charge my Tesla Y from 60 percent or so to 80 percent in less than 3 hours during off peak hours. Cables feel durable and strong. Big question is to see how long it lasts. but so far so good

Excellent EV charger. Adjustable AMP rating, Tesla Connector. A+. Short cable
Overall a really nice EV charger with a couple short comings but not enough to put one off buying. It's very nice.Clean lines and simple install. Hang and go. Well constructed with highly visible identification lights for current state. It has no display and is not networkable which on the surface had me thinking shortcoming but the reality is after the initial 3 mins of infatuation with the display one likely never looks at it unless it fails. I am starting to like to simple and effective color coded light features on this. The charge cord is 16ft which is too short imo. This is probably the one negative I have for this unit. 20ft and it would have been perfect. I love the Tesla input plug as I have a Tesla. Getting rid of the adapter is a win or at least what I tell my wife who now has to deal with the adapter for her Jeep 4xe :). This unit also has an adjustable AMP rating via a dial on the back of the unit. This needs to be selected before mounting and will need to be pulled down to change. Good news is once it's set you likely are not changing it. However having the option of 16,32, 40 and 48A is really nice. Keep in mind these are the 20% derated # so you need to bump the breaker accordingly. In my case I am running off a 50a breaker and getting solid 40A out of the charger. 48A likely will require hard wiring and this one does have a plug connection that may need to be altered significantly and beyond most for install. Still it's super nice to have the flexibility and option to adjust to your needs and panel. Beyond a couple mild quirks like the length of the charge cord I'm liking this charger and it will sure give the OEM Tesla a run at lower cost. Forgot to mention you can turn it off from the charge plug which is nice and helps with the release on Teslas. Also I have not experienced any heat issues with the unit at all. Cord or Charger. A+

High end charging station with built in Tesla NACS connector.
This Lectron charging station is very nice. I'm very happy that it comes with the Tesla standard NACS connector to plug into my Tesla Model Y and 3. the cable is long and although it does support 48A, it's advised not to pull more than 80% of the rated amperage from the circuit for continuous loads, meaning a 14-50 receptacle with wiring and breaker for 50A can only use 40A for continuous loads.If you hardwire this with wiring for a 60A circuit and respective breakers, you can definitely charge at 48A to maximize the capacity of this charging station. However, that would require cutting wires, opening up the box and that is not advised. You'll likely void your warranty.In any case, 40A at 240V is more than enough. I never leave the house without a full charge. I usually charge for 4 hours at a time and I'm able to add about 38kWh, which gets me about 134 miles of range.Great charger, happy and pleased to be using this for years to come.

Solid Tesla charging station with thick cables and is aesthetically pleasing
The media could not be loaded. This seems like a well-built NACS EVSE that is pretty nice to look at; has a pretty unique LED pattern while charging. From a feature standpoint, it is a pretty standard charger with a single "power" on button.The biggest negative is the length of the charging cord at 16ft is a little on the short side. I think many of the competitors including Tesla's Wall Connector (origin of NACS) are 20-25ft for close to the same price. Depending on where the charger is compared to where you are parking and where the port is; 16ft may or may not be enough so take that into account. From a price perspective, this unit is a little under some of the others but is very solid; does not feel cheaply made at all.I re-used an existing 20A outlet in my garage.I pulled the end-off with the intent of replacing the 14-50P with a 6-20P Twist-Lock. Said Twist-Lock did not work as the wire in the "whip" were way too thick to fit (believe they are 8AWG).Ended up "hardwiring" the charger to the outlet.I configured the charger to 16A with the easy-to-use knob on the back of the charger.I would get this charger again, easy to setup and configure, as long as where you are installing works with the 16ft charging cord, a great buy.4/29/2024 Added picture of cable holder I decided to hang (was just wrapping around the charger at first).

easy to install
We have a hubble outlet on a 50 amp gfci so we wanted an EV charger capable of 40 amps. There is a small wheel inside the unit to limit it's power output. Only issue was the directions said it was defaulted to 40 amps, but when we checked it was at 48. Easy to change, but make sure you check it. Comes with a cord holder that the tesla plug fits into. The insert fitting seems a little flimsy and we might end up gluing that part to the main holder.The unit has simple colored lights that are easy to see and know if it's charging.
