I had one on my a6000 and loved the heft, extra grip, protection and versatility. So I ordered this as soon as my Amazon a6700 order got a delivery date (finally). This is REALLY well designed. Where to even start? 1. enhances the comfort & stability of the a6700 grip; the right-side contouring falls right to hand. 2. all camera controls are left very accessible. 3. does not interfere with battery compartment, SD slot, port doors or lens release button. 4. provides 4 different strap attachment points. 5. built-in Arca-Swiss dovetail with a center-of-lens mark. 6. adds a bit of heft, so more stability for hand-held shots. 7. the obvious: cold-shoe, tons of threaded mount points, camera protection, plus it looks badass.

This cage fits perfectly on my Sony A6700. I can't wait to start adding more components to this cage.

Excelent product. Fit with Sony A6700

I love my Sony A6700 camera because it is compact. I used to shoot full frame but went to apsc for its size. I wanted the flexibility of a cage but didn't like the idea of the added bulk. Let me say this, it doesn't add much to the camera at all and I actually think it feels better in the hand with it than without. The camera is still easy to get in and out of my camera bags. Including the smaller bags. I love the grip now so much better and also love the connection points for my camera strap. The nice added bonus is that you can add a small Arca Swiss plate to the side to turn this also into an L-bracket. If you thinking about it, just get it. I couldn't recommend it more.

Overall a really sturdy and easy to use mount for the A6700. I will say, for whatever reason, this cage has more wiggle and general "slop" than my other SmallRig cage for the A6700. The other cage I have is just a lower cage that offers the Arca-swiss mount and a pinky extension but it is much more secure for some reason. This cage, regardless of how tight you screw the bottom screw into the body, has just a little bit of play. I think SmallRig should add a bit more support to the cage to prevent it from moving around. Whether it be by adding a few screws or pins. However - in the grand scheme of things it's an awesome cage and pretty affordable. It unlock a lot of opportunities for my A6700 and definitely happy with the purchase.

I bought this to go along with my first camera being the Sony a6700. Without any prior knowledge it was very easy to assemble onto the camera body. I keep this on my camera at all times for added protection and extra grip space for my pinky finger. I love that this product doesn’t feel cheap like other camera accessories I have bought. I also love the many ways to attach other equipment to the cage which makes it super functional. Great purchase.
