This unit can only be charged by using the old cigarette/cigar lighter outlets. Unfortunately, my new truck does not have that option. It says not to use the USB port to charge it so I guess I'm going to have to return it as I can't charge it. This is something that should be disclosed in the description..

The screen's size on this navigation device is just right for easy viewing, making it less distracting while driving. The updates for UK and Europe maps are seamless and keep me on the right path. This does exactly what it’s designed to do and it does it reasonable well, considering the low price this comes in at, (Around the £50 - £60 mark)It has a 7inch touchscreen with a frame bezel around it making it look a little bigger. This can obstruct a drivers view if put in the wrong place.Once charged, and switched on, you’re met with an option page. From here you can see what this offers by touching the icons and seeing what each one does.Touch the navigation icon and you’re sent to the sat nav page. From there you can set destination, route options and more. All this is a matter of trial and error to get used to but it’s basically the same as other satnavs and works in the same way.The touchscreen responds quickly and smoothly, which is nice.It finds a satellite in seconds and re-routes at a reasonable speed too, which is what you need when you’re out there on the road.You get everything you need to get this up and running. A car charger, a USB charger, a bracket, window ‘sucker’, sunshade and a quick guide of usage.You can change the settings to suit you, even changing the icon which represents your car, from a triangle to a choice of vehicles. Including a tank.It does have a con or two. Firstly, there’s no future updates that I can find, I searched online and tried to update it but found nothing, and no help either. But I’ll keep looking.Secondly, when I got this it looked like it had already been used. The box was damaged and the protection bag around the device had already been cut open. Plus the charger lead was loosely wrapped and shoved roughly into the bag. Then, when I started the device it was set to search around Birmingham and already had 3 addresses already programmed in … a shopping centre, a large, well known pub chain and an office premises … although they were all cleared with a reset. But this shows that this device was pre-owned and sent back for what ever reason.In all, a nice, good size and clear screened sat nav which comes in at a lower price than you’d think and does exactly what satnavs are supposed to do. Well worth investing in if you like to use satnavs on the road.
