great taste, easy to prepare, quality soup
good quality thick soup - quite filling and really nice flavour but I usually spice it up a bit by adding dried chilli flakes when cooking, I just like things spicy. It is easy to prepare (ring pull so no faffing about with can openers),great for warming up after being out on a cold day. 94 calories per half can - I always eat a whole can, 188 calories, who opens a can of soup and only eats half? "oh, I will just have this tiny portion and decant the rest into a tub and put it in the fridge for later" I think not, I wish manufacturers would give nutritional info for sensible portion sizes. I had a 45g packet of nuts yesterday that gave nutritional info per 25g portion - so I had 1.8 portions - it is just as well I like mental arithmetic. Anyway, none of this is really relevant to the quality of the soup - which is good.Amazon pantry is great when ordering in bulk - I get all the heavy stuff sent to my door and just use the supermarket for fresh stuff

A lovely thick, warming soup.
A very tasty vegetable soup.Of a thick consistency, it is lovely as a winter warming bowl on its own, and also perfect for adding into a casserole or stew.Suitable for vegetarians, which may sound obvious, but you do have to check.Nutritionally, it's fairly inert. It's only 3.2% sugar, which is pretty good for a commercial soup.Salt is a little high, with a can giving you 2.4g. (It's an Amber on the traffic light system).It's mainly made from tomatoes (24%) and carrots (11%), with a mix of other vegetables in lesser amounts.It does contain wheat.Overall, as you would expect from Heinz, it's a very tasty, thick warming soup. Perfect with a crusty bread.I hope you found this review helpful.

Useful stock cupboard item
Good value as a thick stock for partially homemade soup that goes well with other vegetables, but not a very healthy choice to eat by itself.

not very well packed
The soup's fine and great for using camping. Sadly 2 of the tins were badly dented so I had to use them quickly. They came in a fairly floppy cardboard box which was half open at one end.
