LAS 10728 Alko Model Breakaway Cable with Hook S. Type List

Good quality replacement and says its an Alko product.

I wanted to change my breakaway cable to one with a carabiner hook, this is good value and simple to fit. A bit of muscle is needed to squeeze closed the hook attachment but otherwise no problem.

This item appears to be well made with a good catch to attach to the towing vehicle. However, in common with some other comments, it was quite hard to close the “hook end” to the the trailer. I used the jaws of a small vice to close the hook. If it has to be removed I suspect I will use an angle grinder to cut it off.

Needed a replacement and this one was exactly the same as required. Price was great, function's as it should. Very easy to use gives reassurance of safety and being red easy to see.

Quality replacement breakaway cable fitted with a carabiner that can be used to hook directly onto the tow bar rather than just looping around the towball and then back on itself, connecting to the cable. The carabiner method of connection means that the breakaway cable cannot bounce off the towbar if the caravan becomes disconnected.
