Great Hiking Sandals
The CAMELSPORTS Men’s Hiking Sandals are great hiking sandals. I do a lot of hiking and walking logging around 1,000 miles each year. I'm always on the lookout for new hiking footwear to try out. Some of the hikes I do include places where you have to traverse a creek crossing. In the past, I have always carried with a pair of open hiking sandals to use for crossing creeks so I don't have to get my regular hiking footwear wet. These may be the only thing I need when doing a hike where water is in play. The CAMELSPORTS Men’s Hiking Sandals are closed toe. They are pretty much a hiking shoe with the heal area missing. There is a wide strap that goes over your heal to keep the sandal in place using Velcro. These sandals were comfortable right out of the box and true to the size I normally get. The wide heal strap is my only suspicious place where blisters may be encountered. So far, just wearing them this has not been encountered. But I have not had the chance to wear these on a longer actual hike. Once I get the chance to wear these on a longer actual hike I will update my review if I encounter any blisters. The CAMELSPORTS Men’s Hiking Sandals seem to be made very well and should last a long time. The inner soles have lots of good cushion. The outer soles have a good tread pattern that should grip very well.At the time of this review the CAMELSPORTS Men’s Hiking Sandals were selling for $45.99 which in my opinion is a very good price for a solid pair of hiking sandals. As previously mentioned, these sandals feel great right out of the box and the size is exactly as expected. I will be using these sandals in many hiking and walking conditions. If I encounter anything unexpected, I will for sure update my review. If you are looking for a solid pair of hiking sandals, you for sure need to look at these.

Pretty good outdoorsy shoes for women, too!
I know they’re called “men’s hiking sandals,” but I chose them anyway for the attributes listed. I’m glad I did because they are exactly as described. The size I ordered is a men’s 8 since the 7.5 wasn’t available, and that might have been just the right equivalent to a women’s shoe size 9. So instead, these Camelsports are about an inch longer than I desired but they are adjustable in two ways which make them work for me. There is that elastic double pull cord between the top halves and there is that velcroed back strap. It’s a little odd, that. At least in my experience, because the strap has two entry sides with no stops attached to them to pull against.I made the mistake of removing one end as you would, but found it was super difficult to get it back into the slot because of a sort of double wall. The other side is exactly the same. Therefore, it seems they are made to only loosen enough to push the foot into the shoe from between the back straps (which, while wearing black socks causes some difficulty), while being sure to prevent the ends from slipping out. Don’t know if my description makes sense, but it’s really awkward to do. Also, where the velcro ends is as far as they can be tightened, obviously. That said, these hiking shoes are super comfortable, on both the top and the bottom, with the materials used and the designs employed. I needed them to be wide enough and comfortable enough to not interfere with a bunion, a repaired but still very sensitive anterior spur, and neuropathy. They are more than satisfactory that way, and appear sturdy enough to last the average walker/gentle hiker at least a good few years use.
