Life saver for DIY content creator
I rarely ever leave reviews, but this product deserves it. I bought this and was not paid for this review. 100% untainted opinion here. I've spent thousands on camera equipment, including 5 other gimbals over the last few years. I'm not a tech guy so there have been many frustrations. As a full time Youtuber, camera functionality is extremely important. Especially since I do it all myself. I don't have a camera guy or anyone helping. This gimbal absolutely took a load of stress off. I've always had issues with tracking, even with high end cameras and gimbals. You end up with this cluster F of cables etc and when it doesn't work it's incredibly frustrating. This tool has a little camera built in, so it tracks flawlessly (so far) even without a camera plugged in. I didn't have to buy any additional trackers or anything. Simply mounted a gopro (much smaller than my big camera) again, no cables. Balanced this, turned it on, and boom, I can place this wherever, kitchen counter, pickup tailgate, wherever, give this an ok signal with my hand, and it's locked on me. The tracking is great, camera off, no cables, perfect operation. I downloaded the app and linked them, all the settings are easy to adjust in the app. It came with a phone mount, (also has cables for about any camera, and the ability to operate the camera from the screen) so I can easily switch from my gopro to either my big camera or my smart phone and it works very well. Just a simple re-balance and your g2g. We will see how long it lasts, but this has been hands down the best money spent on something like this, and far less expensive than most of what I've purchased before. I'm very happy with this and would recommend it to anyone.

Gimbal review
The gimbal is nice and it does what it needs to do. I hike and try to film it so I ended up buying the gimbal. I will say that if you have a heavy lens on your camera then you will have to remove it in order for the gimbal to properly balance the camera. My next complaint is that the tripod part is only for flat surfaces. With me being in the woods, I have to constantly swap from my gimbal to my tripod and remove and re-attach my lens because of the terrain and the uneven surfaces. I still like the gimbal but it could be better

Won't stop vibrating
First, presentation is nice, however, I have another gimbal from Hohem that came with an actual carrying case which is way nicer than a box with a handle. Second, FeiyuTech support is very pleasant to deal with but very slow and ultimately was unable to help me with my problem. I would email them at midnight and they would reply 23 hours later which happened 3 times in a row. They were unable to offer a real solution. Third, the Scorp 2 will not stop vibrating. I have it perfectly balanced as verified by both the app and by support who I sent a video of proof. The tilt motor won't stop vibrating and it would transmit what sounds like an A/C line hum into the camera's audio. Fourth, the replacement Scorp 2 was 50x worse. When I put it on the ground, it feels like sitting in an old car with an unbalanced 4 cylinder engine, idling at too low of an RPM, with 3 broken motor mounts. Besides being completely problematic, the battery does not last all that long and also tends to heat up, probably both related to the vibration. The 2nd Scorp 2 lasted maybe 2 minutes and turned off. The 1st Scorp 2 lasted probably around 15 minutes from a full charge. Real shame, I really wanted to like the Scorp 2. I'll be sticking to my Hohem MT2. Not nearly the same weight class but at least the Hohem MT2 works. Unrelated, but the 2nd Scorp 2 had the GUI on Chinese by default. The first one was English.

Step your game up!
It makes all my shots better. It's tricky to set up but once you know how to balance your camera, it's a game changer.

The way it follows you is uncanny
When this came in, and I started using it, I felt like my life had been completed. I was so overjoyed that I grabbed my wife by the hand and we made passionate love for hours..

Good video companion
I really liked the way the device was held. It was very easy to use, and the battery lasted a while, so far. I wasn't thrilled with the fact that it couldn't be easily replaced, but it looks like I won't have any issues with that for a while.

This product comes in a high quality retail box, with a firm foam insert to keep all components protected, and gives you a good way to store the device between uses. The high quality packaging hints of the overall product quality. As you will see in the attached video, the gimbal comes with a full instruction booklet. I found the instructions were well written, had clear illustrations, and when followed with care you had all the information to successfully set up and use the product. During the video you will see me turn on the unit and it seemed to judder; take note this was due to the gimbal not having been set up with a camera or cell phone yet. Once setup was done the gimbal is smooth as silk, and super well balanced. The video is primarily intended to give you a better view of what comes in the box. I have tested the unit with a mid weight camera and it balances, pans, tilts and rolls precisely and smoothly. If I had a large lens it came with a bracket to balance the lens too - I did not need that in my scenario. I also tested with a couple of different cell phones; this included a very old, very small iPhone, as well as a large iPhone Plus Max - in both cases the self adjusting phone clamp accommodates the phones perfectly. In use I found the gimbal is very easy to control. My main use is to video walk around shots and some live movement pans, particularly automotive; the ability for the gimbal to smooth out jerky movements is nothing short of impressive. The follow me functions are also impressive. I am able to shoot an interview format video and the gimbal, mounted on the provided tripod (or your own tripod) was able to fully track the subject without any intervention required. Features such as the ability to rotate towards and away in a smooth 180 degree sweep is excellent for a two party interview, where the interviewer is also the camera man. Overall Verdict? This is truly an excellent quality, excellent performing, and full featured gimbal. I very highly recommend this product without hesitation.

So far, so good. Using with an Olympus OMD E-M 1 with a 12-50 zoom, the 12-40 is too heavy, also the 12-50 does not change length when zoomed so no rebalancing required. Once balanced it performs perfectly. Attaching a cable to the release socket does allow for photos to be taken and video started and stopped from the gimbal. Feels a little plasticky but sturdy. The sensor works well following the subject and having the additional support arm makes it easy to hold. One issue is the fill light, being magnetic has nothing to stick to, with the arms being aluminium and few cameras being metal. With the options to take a phone or action cam it's an excellent option.

Bad points out the way first - the manual is terrible and you have to figure out how to construct it yourself, which is not too hard, once you figure out that some of the parts you need are in a hidden section of the case behind a soft panel (which no one tells you about!) Also it doesn't work with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k as the camera is too wide for the side mounting plate, which I found out the hard way, so had to return it unfortunately. On the positive side however, it's very well made, beautifully constructed and a classy looking piece of gear...it's a shame it didn't work for me, I would definitely have kept it otherwise

This FeiyuTech Scorp Mini 2 is Designed for compact mirrorless cameras, action cameras, and smartphones. • Full Kit version: Includes mountable fill-light, extension rod, plastic tripod, mounting brackets, quick-release plate, smartphone mount, and various camera control cables. • Carrying case: Gimbal fits well, *but* extension rod between gimbal and tripod doesn't fit and comes in a separate box. • Fill-light: Rechargeable, compact, magnetic, adjustable brightness, and color (white, yellow); but doesn’t remember last “ON” settings. • Gimbal build: Made from plastic (handle) and aluminum (moving parts); durable and lightweight. • Overall quality: Very well-made, lightweight, and high-quality materials. • Design: Professional appearance, one or two-handed use, good button placement, smooth motor, and maximum load of 1.2kg. • L-shaped quick-release plate: Multi-functional, allows easy device swaps (phones, cameras, action cameras up to 1.2kg). • Under-handle design: More comfortable and allows longer use compared to normal stick-type gimbals, with integrated joystick for better control. • Touchscreen: Responsive, easy to understand, bright enough for sunlight visibility. • Joystick: Good quality, allows smooth 360-degree motion. • Rotation dial: Handy dial on the side controls tilt, pan, and roll movements. • Balancing: 3-axis gimbal with lock/unlock switches and securing rings. It’s a bit of work but very secure. • AI tracking: Works with any device mounted, responds to gestures. Excellent at tracking subjects and panning smoothly. • Gesture controls: Useful for solo users; gestures like the "ok" symbol start/stop tracking. • Manual quality: Kinda lousy manual, translations, typos, and some sections in Chinese; confusing instructions. • Battery life: Great! Lasts up to 10 hours of continuous operation, and charges quickly when low. • Bug: Sometimes tilting and rolling causes the device to flip over upside down; requires reset/reboot. • Learning curve: Complex to use fully, but effective as a stabilizer or tracking device. • Price value: C$400 is pricey, but is actually good value for similar functions in a DJI. The Gimbal Stabilizer is pretty amazing. With some better doc it would be 5 star.

Says it is compatible with fujifilm xs20 in the description and on the website. It is not. Really disappointed. I do not recommend this product.
