Shorter Than Expected
Got this for my first grader (age 6-7) who I homeschool. This book was thin compared others I have purchased. I like that it covers so many topics, but I wish the book was thicker. It’s definitely been a good review and test for my student about what he learned from his other first grade books (see photo)

Grandsons love it
My daughter home schools her 4 boys. This is a great workbook to go with her curriculum. It is pretty self-explanatory and the boys can work on it on their own with only a little explanation to go with the directions in the book itself. Would do well for children who go to public school as well.

Workbook for 6 year old
Our grandson really enjoys learning even after school, he comes home to just go to his work book and just having fun.

Good but lacking some key points
This book was bought for my 6 year old who is home schooled at the second grade level. He enjoys it and it's a good book, but it does lack a few of the more key elements for a second grader.

Absolutely would recommend
Oh, how I love School Zone work books, and this is no exception. This book is really two books in one. The first half has a zoo theme and the second a summer vacation theme. While not as big as some other workbooks, it is packed with colorful illustrations and interesting activities.

Pages 2-54 of "Scholar" are exactly the same as pages 2-54 of "Super Scholar"
The books are attractively presented and have a lot of variety. But keeping pages 2-54 of the "Super Scholar" book the same as pages 2-54 of the "Scholar" book can hardly be said to be "excellence" on part of the School Zone staff. The Super Scholar book should be made an entirely different level of experience. Had I known this, I would not have ordered both books.
