My mom is gone now, and we have not taken up the summer task of canning tomato sauce as she did for almost 54 years. Instead, we found the San Marzano marinara sauce, and it's about as close to my mom's sauce as we can get. For one, we don't get heartburn or acid reflux from the San Marzano sauce----and that's a big deal in itself if you like spaghetti two or three times a week. The sauce has just the right amount of seasoning/flavoring---and the tomato chunks give it an authentic "Italian" feel---reminding us of those street cafes and restaurants in Italy where pasta and sauce are king. The marinara is think, flavorful and suggestive of summertime---ripe, sun kissed tomatoes harvested at their peak of perfection.While the product is pricey, for us it's worth its weight in taste, texture, eye appeal, smell and authenticity.We're glad to indulge in this treat.

I love this sauce!! I was adopted by a Sicilian father, and have traveled to Italy. I take the taste of sauce very serious!! Bottled sauce will never be the homemade flavor you can do yourself but when you don’t want to cook you’d like to come close. This bottles sauce does it. Personally, I doctor it up some by adding to a bottle: 1/3 cup olive oil, 1/3 cup red wine, 1/3 cup fresh flat parsley (make sure the flat, not the curly), 1 tablespoon brown sugar, some xtra garlic and basil to taste!! Simmer for a tad and Beautiful!!! I am not saying this sauce isn’t great just as is, it’s definitely a great bottled sauce!! But I like to make it that much better!!mangiare, mangiare, mangiare!!!

The taste is 10 stars (very different quality from other brands), ingredients are amazing, full stop.

I ordered 6 jars and 3 of them arrived with damaged popped lids, which will be trashed. The seller doesn’t have a refund policy. I am very upset about this situation. The product is great but I don’t like wasting my money.

The low acid San Marzano plum tomatoes make all the difference8. They are simply the best flavor and texture for making pasta sauce. Nothing produced in the USA can match the taste and texture. Simply outstanding.

Bought as part of a Black Friday sale. Met expectations, had to boil off a bit of water as the sauce was a bit too thin for my liking. Ended up sprucing up the sauce with some black pepper, Italian seasoning, Cabernet Sauvignon wine, Parmesan Oregano, and low simmer with some cooked Italian sausage. Came out wonderful.I would like to see a whole garlic clove version of this sauce. I am a big garlic fan, and the mezzetta whole garlic and basil is my usual go to. But with covid I needed to stock up on sauce and I got the best deal on this.All jars came packaged safely. Expiration date is at least a year out.

Awesome taste! Love this stuff. Hard to find.

I wanted to surprise my husband with an authentic Italian dinner and this sauce brought the taste of Italy to our home. We remember the amazing flavors we experienced while in Italy and the taste was like being there again. I even served the sauce with pasta handmade from Italy. And just think, no waiters to tip and no super expensive meals. This was a bit steep but it wasn't like ordering in a restaurant these days. The prices are through the roof!
