awesome little gadget
Let's face it, most camera flashes look about as exciting as a soggy potato. But the Godox Lux Cadet Retro Camera Flash? Now that's a flash with some pizazz! It's got this old-school charm that makes you feel like a film noir detective about to capture a stunning dame (or dude, no judgement here) in just the right light. Don't be fooled by the vintage vibes though, this little guy packs a serious wallop with a GN10 rating. Basically, it'll banish away shadows faster than you can say "cheese!" Speaking of cheese, the Lux Cadet boasts 7 different flash power levels, so you can achieve that perfect lighting, whether you're going for a dramatic Rembrandt vibe or a bright and cheery family portrait (because let's be honest, forced smiles in bad lighting are a recipe for disaster). Plus, it works with a whole bunch of cameras – Canon, Nikon, Sony, you name it. No more adapter-induced existential dread for this photographer! The best part? It ditches those pesky AA batteries and has a built-in rechargeable one. Hallelujah! No more frantic searches for spare AAs when inspiration strikes (and let's be real, it usually strikes at the most inconvenient times). This little flash is lightweight, powerful, and looks like it belongs in a museum of awesome photography gadgets.

Exstramly Unique
The media could not be loaded. This is such a unique flash for your Camera. It Works perfectly with my Canon. I didn't need the sync cable as the Hot shoe connects to the camera.A real retro feel to it from the leather like texture to the analog style dikes and switches. You charge it up vi's the USBc port and there is a little bag in the box to keep it clean and safe.I can see my sister trying to steal this from me as she loves the vintage look of items.5*****Beautiful device!

Rreal charm lies in its retro design
The media could not be loaded. I love its classic design, reminiscent of the flash units of yesteryear, and the simple manual controls are a refreshing change from the tech-heavy options out there. The retractable reflector and manual controls bring back a sense of nostalgia for classic photography, while still being intuitive and easy to use.

WOW
You really have to love this, this flash has a retro design, with its chrome/silver and black trim that gives it a timeless look. It is an eye-catcher. All the controls are manual, so if you want a modern flash, this really isn’t for you. However, despite this, it does have some great features that make up for it. To be honest I prefer a manual flash as it gives me a lot more control. Despite its metallic build, it is surprisingly lightweight. The best feature of this flash by far is that it's rechargeable, so you won't need to buy batteries all the time. Once it's fully charged, it seems to last for a fair few shooting days. It has a GN10 and works well with its petal-shaped reflector. Using it can be a challenge as this takes a bit of calculation to get the optimal settings. But once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to take some amazing shots.Users can easily switch between manual and automatic exposures by using a convenient switch on the back. In auto mode, the flash will automatically adjust the power to the correct setting for you. Or, if you need more creative control, you can switch to manual mode. You can pop out the small stylish reflector by sliding a side switch, it is quite stiff to begin with but after a few uses it worked great. If you're someone who loves vintage and fashionable camera accessories but doesn't want to spend a lot of money, then this is an excellent alternative available that can meet your needs. This accessory is one of the most innovative and stylish accessories for your camera that you can find in the market. The design of this accessory is stunning, and it can significantly enhance the aesthetics of your camera.

Interesting
Liked how it sits higher on camera so the lens shade isn’t in the way. And the incremental manual light output settings are easy to use for just a little fill light or as a main source

Flash manual estilo vintage precioso.
The media could not be loaded.

Excellent as a full manual flash
It's lightweight, made of plastic, but it's fun! Direct flash, so you're almost always going to get that "look" but if you dial in the power and shoot in full manual ( with manual ISO ) you can get a great look to your photos.Honestly, it being full manual doesn't bother me all that much, TTL is cool but I almost always end up tweaking the compensation on TTL flashes anyway, so a touch extra work to get the camera settings aligned as well doesn't bother me.Optical slave modes also works! It's not a super high output flash and the recycle time definitely slows down a bit at the higher outputs, not too big of a deal unless you're trying to add fill flash in daylight conditions.Battery seems to last a long time, but I haven't exactly been trying to do event photography with it. I wouldn't hesitate to try it at a short event, but you may want to have something with replaceable batteries, and if it's a professional shoot, always have a reliable backup to your main rig.Bought mostly to go with the retro silver Olympus E-M5 Mark III I have, but found it works just as well on my Sony A7C, A7R IV, and A6600 cameras, as well as a friend's Nikon D5600. To my surprise, the silver doesn't even look that out of place on a black camera body either. It doesn't quite reach 5 stars for me because the battery is integrated and the build quality isn't quite as high as I'd expect for the price. If this was $65 it'd be a full five stars as is. But at $100? Well, it's okay and great if you're going for an aesthetic, but if you just want a good flash there are other more competitive options that give you more features and are more robust. ( Albeit, without the classic look )
