must have tool for restorations
literally works. i was a silly goose doing my first ever resto on an old dirtbike. i sent it to powder coating with steering stem races still in. chisel and hammer did nothing other than chip some paint. i was 3/4 drunk with 2 seconds of youtube video on how to use it the day before, and it was effortless to knock the top one out. im talking within 30 seconds of opening the packaging to knocking it. the bottom one took a little more effort but its been in that frame for 29 years and the geometry of holding the frame steady upside down took more effort. must have if you ever do this more than once, or in my case, once on a machine older than you.

The exact right motorcycle tool for the job
I needed to remove the outer bearing races from the steering neck of my Moto Guzzi V7 motorcycle. After several tries with various "home-made" tools--long punch, big screwdriver, socket extension, pipe, close fitting socket, etc.--I bought this tool after seeing it used on several YouTube videos. It worked perfectly: it snapped in to place instantly and the race was out with a few hammer blows in about 10 seconds. Even if I didn't have other bikes that I might need it for someday, this tool would still be worth the price for a one-time use. It is not just for bicycles. It is very heavy-duty and should work on any accessible car or motorcycle bearing race with an OD of about 50 mm or less. Even rusty races will probably yield to an onslaught form this device. Don't waste time and risk damage messing around with make-do implements. This is the right tool for the job.

This is a must have for race removal

Works on almost all bearing removals
Easy to use and a good price. Park Tools are known for their quality and this worked great on removing my press fit bottom bracket. A few good hits and all done.

Worked well on Harley steering neck race removal
This worked well on my Harley Sportster steering neck race removal. It was a lot cheaper than alternative tools, yet safer for the neck than a drift.

Got the RT-1, couldn't be happier.
The RT-1 fits 1", 1-1/8" and 1-1/4" headsets (27–38mm), I've used it on several 1" and 1-1/8" headsets in the process of building and refurbishing various steel and aluminum bikes. For the stubborn headsets, I used this in conjunction with a large rubber mallet. Park Tools usually makes a good product, and I liked that the strike point was also made of metal instead of some kind of pressfit plastic piece. It's made of heat treated alloy steel with a nice nickel finish and looks and feels like it will stand up to more abuse than some of the other removers out there. It's proven itself.

Expensive stick
Pros- worked and a "needed" tool paired with bb30 socket tool to get your bike fully assembled/disassembled. Cons- you could fabricate a PVC pipe or use 2 long screwdrivers to accomplish what this can do.

Well made tool that performs perfectly.
This tool made steering head race removal a breeze. The design is perfectly simple yet very effective. Just slide tool through steering head, pointy end first, until the flared end catches the race. After a couple of whacks with the heavy hammer the tool will seat against the lip of the race and before you know it your race is rolling around on the floor.

I had two 32mm bearing races to remove from my BMW F800. This was easy, too easy! Fits perfect and no slipping or moving of the race lip at all. 5 heavy hits with a hammer and out it came on each side. No damage to bike or tool. Well worth the money and saves you so much hassle.

Das wirklich sehr festsitzende Steuerlager ZS56 mit satten 15mm Einpresstiefe ging damit easy raus. Warum nicht gleich Park-Tool? Kaufen.
