Review: Perfect gift for anyone wanting to get into drones! - So I have owned a slew of cheap and high end drones. Everything from a Walmart Skyviper to a Cheerson nano. I have plenty of experience with DJI, own a Spark and Mavic Pro. This Tello, while not DJI, features some of the DJI tech and it resulted in a brilliant flying machine. It does auto take off, auto landing, palm landing, automatic flips, panoramic 360 shots, can circle a subject, go up and away automatically. Even has a mode where you just throw the drone and it catches itself in a hover perfectly. The camera quality is legit, and not laggy till you reach max range. It is incredibly stable for it’s size, almost flies itself, definitely hovers by itself perfectly. I used this outside in a breeze and the thing didn’t even float away from it’s hovering spot. If you nudge it with your hands; it corrects itself and flies immediately right to where it was hovering. Even if you nudge it to make it spin, it perfectly corrects itself. The controls are very very straight forward and easy to use through the app. It is extremely portable, so this is basically an awesome selfie drone you could bring with you anywhere, easily. Not really aware of any other drones in this size range with the flight time of this thing. The app shows battery life and warns of low battery which is nice. Also shows speed and altitude. It would not fly higher than 10m (~32ft) for me, but again that may be changeable in settings that I am not yet aware of (Spark and Mavic let me set max height). For the price, I am blown away by how much this thing can do. It’s ease of use is the best I’ve seen, so it is an absolutely perfect started drone (coming from someone who has spent thousands). I did go out of range once, it did a perfect 180 and came straight back into range. No collision detection, but will stop and stay still if you let go of the controls. If you know someone who is looking to get into drones, but has never had one. Or even someone that just likes technology. Get them this drone. I recommend purchasing an extra battery or 2, and a multiple battery charger. Absolutely highly recommended! Once you hit that take off button, you can literally touch nothing, this thing will keep itself locked in place. Included video is the circle mode, it did this by itself at the push of a button. :) Review: The Greatest Mini Drone Ever - DJI Drones are the finest drones you will ever buy and this mini drone that can be flown in doors and out doors is just as great as their 1000.00 drones trust me i know because i own two of their high end drones and when its raining or snowing out i have a little fun in doors with the Tello, lts stable and will hover in place without touching the remote/phone, its easy to fly right out of the box great for kids of all ages and if its your first drone than you made a great choice. Have fun fly safe and enjoy life !

Best Learning Drone
You won't get a better drone to learn to fly than a Tello. It does things that drones double it's cost can't do. Don't believe me? Keep searching and find a drone that will self hover for 100 bucks. Can you program it to fly its own path? Only drawback is its lack of documentation but plenty of tube videos will help get you in the air. Look at a wifi range extender to get the full potential of fun or learning the Tello can deliver

Cheap but good quality
I love this drone! Its simple and easy to operate even for a first time user like me. I had an issue with the spare battery but the seller is very prompt to send me a replacement. Picture quality is not superb but still good for the price..I am so excited to take this drone on my future adventure!

Easy to Use
Besides getting used to operating the unit without knocking into things the unit was easy to get used to and start using. One disappointment was the carrying case is not suitable for the unit. Two rubber bands over a large open space where you have to gently stretch the bands over the unit to hold the unit in the opening. Not secure and subject to movement. Need to purchase another case to securely hold the unit while backpacking, etc.

Deceptive "Beginner Bundle"
So this beginner bundle is a kit that comes with a set of VR goggles, but it can't be used because there is no controller. None of the times "controller" is mentioned in the ad does it say that a controller is not included. The only time this is mentioned is with user Q&A. One of these changes should be made (a) the controller should be included, (b) the goggles should be removed, or (c) the ad should state that a controller which is sold separately is needed to use the VR goggles. As far as the drone goes, I think the Eachine drones are much better, cheaper, and easier to operate (and they usually come with a controller).

Drone is amazing, package is great
The drone is amazing. Case and batteries are fine. The headset was DOA but company resolved it in a really nice matter and sent me a replacement. Headset remains the weak point of this package with the mechanism just not aligning well with my essential phone screen. But the drone is the main reason for buying this kit. The drone flies amazing and has made many falls and crashes (thanks to me piloting it) and still survived! Also the carry case fits perfectly (put the drone in "upside down" and it aligns great). The additional battery is a must or you have to stop flying after too little time. Great deal !

Don’t buy a “package”
I will add to this review as I experiment with the drone. The case it comes with fits the drone and a few batteries, no goggles or controller. Remember this for later ;) This really is a toy: albeit a good one! I would rather practice flying an $80 drone than a $500 one! I bought a “package” of which there are many on amazon. The package included an extra battery and “VR goggles”, as well as a case for the drone. You need to Bluetooth controller to use the goggles at the same time, so I can’t recommend this package. I would buy the drone and each piece you want separately. I paid $119.99. The drone is $79.99 Extra battery is less than $20 Case is $10 Goggles are $10. With a bit of searching and luck I could make my own package for maybe $15 cheaper.
