Stay high and dry.
This bag is perfect to protect several (3-4) fleece jackets or any similar collection of clothing that you wish to keep dry. These SealLine bags are very tight if you fold the bag as directed. I use mine in the larger fishing boat, and the 11' inflatable, and it is especially nice for the canoe. The snap used to close the bag once the folds are made is useful to attach it to a thwart or anywhere secure and makes for easy access. If the canoe goes over (not gonna happen, right?) the stuff inside is safe and dry and doesn't float away. I think this stuff sack would passively act as flotation to the boat but cannot really support that with experience. There is an attachment point to make the connection anyway as a part of the buckle, but I just use the bag as described and really like them. The fabric itself is sufficiently tough to endure BWCA canoe trekking, or being tossed around on the larger fishing boat without any fear of tearing at all. The size 30 is enough to hold cell phone, camera, above-mentioned clothing and still have room for a few items to stuff. It is not a good choice for lightweight canoeing as it is too big unless it becomes a community bag for combining items to keep dry. It could be a great dry bag for a sleeping bag or two if made of easily compressed down. Have used this brand before and the new issue seems of an even higher quality than in the past. Highly recommended. Now go get wet.

Perfect for Boating
I was recently on a trip where I spent 10+ hours on a panga and was concerned about keeping my camera dry. I bought this mainly because of the reviews I read on Amazon and cost. It worked out perfectly. I used a Canon 7D and while it fit in snug, it did fit.If I had to do it over, like many of the reviews I read I'd go bigger. My Canon fit in, but I had to lay it in with the lcd facing down(lens up). I just padded the bottom with some t-shirts and it worked out fine. It did make it a little tough getting the camera out quickly, but that isn't the fault of the bag itself, just my reluctance to get the larger version. One thing I really liked about it was how quickly you can go from open to protected. It's got a very simple mechanism for sealing. On the boat, I'd have the camera inside but the bag open. When we'd hit some rough patches, it took a matter of seconds to remove my hand and seal it.I did not really test it to see if it was waterproof, but after being on a boat for that many hours, there wasn't even a sign of moisture inside the bag. It also folds up very nicely for transport and storage. Very useful and a great purchase.

Quality has Imporoved
Below is a review for a previously purchased item. I just bought a new bag, and I can say that the quality has improved. It still is not what a SealLine bag use to be, but I accept that times have changed. The new bag arrived in good condition, and there are no signs of wear after the first kayak outing. The bag is air tight, and no moisture made its way in. The coating on the bag is slightly thicker than the previous bag that I bought, and should hold up to more rugged use.I am a very experienced with canoeing and kayaking, and I have used my trusty Baja HD bag for over a decade. My old bag has no noticeable wear, and it keeps everything completely dry. I bought this bag for a friend who is new to paddle sports, and I have to say that I am a little disappointed. The thick rubberized coating is absent on these new, non-HD, bags, and it is more worn down just from shipping than my bag of 10 years. We have yet to take it down the river, but my first impressions are not great. SealLine needs to bring back the Baja HD line.

Large and very waterproof
Strong and water/air tight. Purchased for Canoe trip and not disappointed, everything was dry. quality was good and the stitching and clasps were strong. This will fit a LOT of gear. Sleeping bag, clothing and accessories without any issues. If you compare it to a backpack in size, it is a very large backpack. I don't know if really needed a 55l unit after the fact, but that is what you learn. depending on what you are doing, the smaller sizes may be adequate.Note, if you are doing a Boundary Waters (BWCWA) trip, you may want to look at the 30 or 40, as this one has a bigger diameter than the smaller units and does not fit as well into the Granite gear bags.

Great bags
I am sailing around the world and have two of the 10L bags coming and one 20L and one 30L bag each, long in hand. I think the bags are great. They are tough and water proof enough so that if one is dropped overboard, it floats well enough to be quickly retrieved. All stays dry inside. That is the need and concern of a sailor. Not designed for prolonged full submersion, as should be obvious to all.Got the 10L bags. Each is perfect for carrying a 10" notebook computer in a fitted soft case, an iPad in a case next to it and a point and shoot with a few DVD's in jewel cases tossed in. The DVD's and P&S fit in the curvature left on each side after the notebook and iPad are in place. It is compact and as light as what you are carrying allows.

Great bags.
Perfect size bag for use as a "day bag" that you will keep handy in the raft/boat for personal items (20L). They held a rain jacket, towel, set of clothes, sunscreen, bug spray, camera, and several other misc. items with ease. They fold up water tight when done right. These are great bags. The construction is solid and they kept all of our gear bone dry over 5 days on the river in a raft. We also got 2 of these bags in 55L. They are great size for a main bag that holds all of your clothes, towels, shoes, etc. We used one 55L to hole a full size Lightspeed airmattress, 4 person 3 season tent, pump, towels, and 2 pillows. I'd buy them again and will be buying more if needed.

¡Excelente producto!

SeaLine 55l waterproof bag
NicE heavy duty PVC BAG - not a simple coated nylon bag that will leak. I have bought several of these and they appear to be tough enough enough to actually do what they are meant.
