LG BPM25 Blu-Ray Disc Player w/ Streaming Services (Renewed)

Took a little time to receive this unit but presidents day probably had something to do with the delay. The DVD player arrived in like-new condition. There are no scratches anywhere and it works 100%. Even my 20+ year old home-made family DVD's play flawlessly and the picture quality is great. Not much to offer from LG for streaming apps and streaming can be a little quirky, but it works and my main reason to buy this unit was for blu-ray DVD playback. Just wish Hulu Live would be supported, but the live part isn't. Nevertheless, the price was right.

I absolutely love this player! Not only does it play our BluRays and DVDs but it plays DVDs that my other DVD players won't play (because they are too scratched or worn). It is super easy to use as well. The only thing that was unexpected is that it has to be hard wired to the internet and I don't have it in the same room as my router so I haven't been able to try out the streaming services yet. It looks and functions like a brand new machine!

I bought it refurbished, and it was excellent value. Plays Blu Rays, DVDs great. The remote is nice and small and simple, no ten million buttons that do things you'll never take the time to figure out. I like the small form factor, it sits under the legs of my TV so it doesn't take up any more horizontal footprint on my dresser. The biggest problem I have with it is it has many features I will never use and don't want. For example, these days, there are plenty of streaming box options (I have an Apple TV), and pretty much every TV these days is a smart tv, so why would I want yet another device with streaming functionality?? The interface for streaming apps it comes with is nowhere near as nice as the Apple TV. I wish it was half the price and only played blu rays/dvds (wouldn't have bought this for full price), but this is one of your cheapest, most reliable options if you just want a basic blu ray player.

The low ratings from other reviewers are spot on. It is a wired-only unit (no wifi, which I knew before purchasing). The on-screen menu and remote control operation are both horrible as other reviewers have noted. I bought this solely as a movie streaming option, and it simply didn't work. The unit had trouble establishing connectivity to my router, even though it was plugged in directly to a wired port. I tried different IP settings, different ports and different cables which other pieces of equipment have no trouble with, including a PS3, printer, and VOIP adapter. After a number of system "re-initialize" and setup sequences, it finally was able to connect to Amazon Prime, and while the HD quality was good for the first 10 minutes it then completely hung up. Meanwhile I was able to stream the same movie from Amazon Prime on my laptop without any issues, so can't be the fault of router or ISP. I then power cycled the player only to see it fail to connect to the internet, once again. After that it went right back in the box. In short, the unit I got was a piece of junk.

I got this as a gift for my father and he was pleased to have something to play blu-ray disks. I did have a couple of issues however, first there was no hdmi cable provided with the player not even old school AV cables. Second there was no Blu tooth capability nor an ethernet cable provided, and third there were no batteries for the remote. While all of these were quickly amended the next day with a trip to the local tech store, I feel like these things should be usable straight out of the box. Other than that, it plays fine and turns a dumb TV into a reasonably smart TV. Like community college smart.

this is a very good bluray player and wired streaming device i think a lot of people thought this player had wifi and were upset that it doesn't so i will begin with the review i hooked it up and the first thing i did was get a software update (it took two min) then i put a bd movie in (the hateful eight) and it loaded the movie in 5 seconds and played great then i put a copied dvd in (i have a lot of those) and it played great then i tried a copied cd also played great well now it was time to load up some sneaky Pete from the amazon APP also played great and my Internet speed is only 15 mbps so this player is an incredible value for the refurbished money and get this if you load movies on to a hd you can watch them from that well i am very pleased with this device so far and have no complaints i feel this player performs in the $70.00 -$80.00 range

I have only used this a few times, but so far it's great. Set-up was easy, but I did have to read the manual to figure it out. Picture quality is great, and you can even add apps for your streaming media like Netflix and Hulu. I have a Roku so I don't use this feature and can't comment on it. It comes with a small remote, but I use my phone as a remote because I don't like having too many remote controls cluttering up the place.

Great blu-ray player. It will read any fat 32 or ntfs USB flash drive. It will not read any other type of file system formatted drive. Also it has the ability to connect to your home Ethernet network which is quite nice. Personally, I'm not a fan of WIFI so no WIFI ability is not a problem. I would recommend this player to anyone who does not want their player connected to a WIFI network. Streaming to YouTube, NetFlix, or whatever is not my cup of tea, but I have friends that do such things.

Este reproductor es muy sencillo, no tiene muchas opciones extra, pero por el precio es bastante bueno. Fue muy sencillo conectarlo y empezar a usarlo. En cuanto al envío, fue prácticamente inmediato y llegó en perfectas condiciones. Ya vi un par de películas sin problemas. ¡Sí lo recomiendo!

Vi en los comentarios que hay mucha desinformación al respecto de este producto por lo que pongo datos duros e imágenes para que no se tengan más dudas. Este reproductor es uno de los mejores en cuanto a relación precio-calidad-efectividad. Reproduce BD región A y SÓLO DVD REGIÓN 1, no reproduce los que son solo región 4 así que OJO, en la caja viene todo lo que hace y pongo fotos. Tiene para reproducir música y fotos . Te acepta reproducir videos en tu USB y puedes bajar solo dos aplicaciones: Netflix y Youtube. No he probado la aplicación que supuestamente puedes bajar a tu celular para usarlo como control remoto, sobre este aspecto es un control pequeño que viene de fábrica es de aspecto chafita y de acabados de baja calidad. NO CONTIENE CABLE HD o Ethernet eso explicó el precio de $922.00 pesos que costó. En cuanto al envío llegó en casi cuatro días, lo único malo es que no le pusieron un caja extra para protegerlo mejor, si lo aventaron o le pusieron cosas pesadas pues espero que no le haya hecho algo por dentro al aparato, hasta ahora funciona bien. Actualización (23.01.21): Agregaron aplicaciones de video como Amazon Prime lo que me dio mucho gusto; Pandora, Vudu Video, (no disponibles en México por ahora) y Napster. las que venían de default son Youtube y Netflix. OJO: No reproduce DVD de región 4.

Cumple precisamente lo que promete, ni más, ni menos; excelente desempeño y ocupa poco espacio. Hasta ahora solo lo he probado con Blu-ray región A, sin embargo en cuanto a DVD, me reprodujo los que tengo en región 1 y un DVD PAL de región libre. Habría que probar con otras regiones de DVD, porque de Blu-ray me imagino que solo reproduce los de región A. A lo único que le tengo un poco de desconfianza es a la marca. He comprado en años pasados electrónicos de marca LG y han acabado fallando a los pocos meses, espero que éste reproductor sea la excepción.

aparato muy bueno en relacion costo beneficio, si buscas un reproductor de buen funcionamiento y precio economico, es una buena opcion debeido a lo que ofrece, como acceso a redes como youtube, spotify y netflix, ademas de reproducir tus peliculas o videos mediante usb en caso de no tener alguna en formato fisico.

El reproductor no tiene recepción de Wifi, solo tendrás internet en tu aparato conectándolo con cable de ethernet, en uno de estos comentarios un usuario erróneamente comentó que sí tenía, y eso propició mi compra de hecho, fuera de eso el aparato cumple con su función, reproduce discos de bluray Código A y DVDs región 4, el tamaño es muy pequeño, lo que me parece muy práctico para reducir espacio, el problema que le encuentro a esto es que no tiene pantalla para visualizar el tiempo de la película, lo que a la gran mayoría de gente no le interesa en lo absoluto, pero a mí si, en general me parece una buena opción sobretodo por su precio.
