The Pacific - The Complete HBO Series - Blu-ray Box Set

Extremely Well Done series on the Pacific Theatre of WWll. The main characters are all based upon the experiences of actual people. The portrayals feel real. The depictions of the various Battles are so realistic you'll feel as if you're there. Brutality and extraordinary acts of heroism are seen. The Acting is First Rate.In my opinion- Better than Band of Brothers. Intense and Involving.

If you like to know really what happened , watch this video you will not be disappointed.One off the best I have seen and I like watching and hearing the stories from the men who had been there.Not from movie makers who feel they know

Works fine is "US region" Bluray players. I've run it on all three I have here in GA (a Sony, and some PC drives running PowerDVD set to US region) and it works fine. Not sure what the format warning is supposed to mean as there is only one Bluray format to my knowledge, and I'm particularly fond of foreign formatted disks as they don't cram an hour worth of quickly dated advertising onto every disk.As for the series it is good. Falls short of being great for directorial vision. You have limited time in any show and here it is squandered struggling to show how ordinary these extraordinary men were. Worse because of the Game of Thrones fad there is nudity and softcore porn scenes making me feel bad and embarrassed for the actors who are uniformly good.
