Powerful little Router/Access point
This is definitely the best tiny access point I have owned. I use these to create a small network for band and tech use at live events and this covers a 200-300 seat room with no issues, it lets me know how many people are connected, and it is tiny. This has plenty of options to configure it for whatever your use case. I can also plug it into another existing network without changing any ip addresses on my existing devices, which has made it really flexible for my specific use case as its in a different environment for every event.

Good Price, Runs Hot, User Friendly
Very easy setup, UI is very easy to understand & informative. The price is very worth it. I was worried that no external antennas would lead to connection issues. However the signal reaches through my entire house and works very well maintaining almost full bars of stability everywhere. My only complaint is that there is no ventilation ports so the device gets very hot.

Wi- Fi Gateway
This network gateway is a good quality mess router system that can expand your wi-fi coverage in your home or small business for a reasonable price without the hassle of installing additional cables. I installed two of the devices in my 2400 sf home and one in my home office above the garage. I had some existing cabling that I could use. I particularly like the way the monitoring software that is included specifically identifies each device on the system and its status. This something that was missing from old system which identified most devices as “unknown”. It is comforting to know what is connected and matches with your needs. The setup is fairly straightforward and can be accomplished by most users.

Operation
Very straight forward to set up and signal range is great. Really like the online interface for feature adjustment.

Compact, full control
Basic setup is easy, but also provides lots of low-level configuration settings to give you full control of your wireless network.

Gateway drug to Unifi!
Small, uses 10 watts of power, has single wan and single lan port. Also doubles as wifi 6 access point and I can control every aspect of my network with ease. Built in VPN, ad-blocking and firewall support.

Avoid this Unifi Product!
I've worked with several different Unifi products in a professional setting for several years and have always been impressed with the features you get for the cost. I was really looking forward to a more prosumer/small business offering that was comparably priced to other home networking solutions. Searched for reviews and found a lot of praise for this product so I pulled the trigger. Setup was very simple and familiar to other Unifi gear I've worked with. During the setup I did notice the UI was a little sluggish but assumed there was some background initialization still going on. Got everything setup and noticed it was on a very old firmware version but did not give me the option to upgrade it. I looked it up and found to just let the auto update in the middle of night run and it should get the upgrade done. I also bought a second Unfi Express device to create a mesh wireless network and the setup of the second device was very easy. Here is where the good stopped. The following day the devices had upgraded themselves to the latest firmware. With this, the second device went into isolation mode. The primary UX was still working but on the LCD screen showed it was 'ready for setup' even though the management portal retained all the settings. While doing all this the UI remained very sluggish to move from one menu to the next. Started to research this new issue and found a lot of responses on different forums of these issues and warnings of buyer beware. The sluggish UI is from the setting "Traffic Identification". It's turned on by default and will put a very heavy load on the CPU. Disabling this does help the UI sluggishness, but you lose out on a very useful feature. The second UX device going into isolation is common issue and happens at random. At this point I decided the trouble isn't worth it and boxed up the devices and sent them back. I liked the concept Unifi was going with here, but the execution was just poor. The device just doesn't have enough resources to do what they advertised it for. A better CPU and more onboard memory would have gone a long way here in performance.
