Arrived in good shape. Very happy with brightness. But do NOT believe the description saying it can be charged by USB -- that implies a standard USB connector will work. if you look lower down on the description page you will see that it's only a special cable that will work -- that cable gets its power from a standard USB port. You can also see the picture of that cable there. No instructions whatsoever - for example, how does one get at the batteries when they give out in order to replace them? And the descriptive notes on the box are so poorly translated from Chinese they are almost uninterpretable. The box advertises, for example, that the item enclosed as a "Digital Multifunctional LED Searchlight" -- HUH? What is digital about it? On the more positive side, however, it came with two accessories that are neither mentioned nor pictured -- an AC to USB power source for charging and a USB-connected small light, like a nightlight, that can go into the USB power-out port although i can't imagine why that would be useful to anyone. Perhaps in a camping tent so the lantern can be found easily in the dark? If it were a true USB charging port and if it were clear how to access the batteries, I would give this 5 stars for brightness. Having just received it, I have no comment on battery life or other elements.
