Huge fan of this freeze-dried chili. It's delicious! I bet I could win a chili contest with it. I keep a variety of freeze-dried foods from companies like Peak Refuel, Mountain House, etc., which all make great products, but I never tire of Packit Gourmet's chili. I'll grab one of them whenever I want a quick, filling meal.I haven't tried any of their other flavors, which I feel don't have a lot of calories for the price. But the chili version has ~680 calories, which, while not calorie-packed like Peak Refuel's offerings, is very satiating as a standalone meal. Not an apples-to-apples comparison because of the serving size differences, but still!I hope they don't ever change the recipe! It's perfect!

I rarely finish one of the traditional hiking meals but this one was amazing. Demolished the entire bag. Next time I might bring extra corn chips but other than that, the best backpacking meal I've had.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt like I had to for this chili. Packed with flavor, they most definitely do not skimp on what’s inside. I eat this with a bag of Fritos and oh my goodness. Look forward to this meal after a hike or for it to be my last at the end of the day. Two thumbs up with all the stars, get it you won’t regret it!

Took this on a 3 day kayaking trip. It was the best tasting out of all the meals over 3 days. Great product. I will definitely order more!

… and lots of calories for not much weight. Throw away the cute little bag of crunches; add a little string cheese and some Fritos; and dump a little olive oil on top and you have a huge calorie dump with a good shot of protein to end your day!

Wow. I've been having some pretty good backpacking meals recently from smaller companies but this is by far the best Chile in a bag I've had of all the different major and minor brands I've tried. Will be repurchasing for my next backpacking trip and can't wait to try their other meals.
