Q: What is the actual weight? I'm a backpacker and would like to know the weight.

I'm not to sure but not more than an oz, really light and if needed really helpful

Q: I am 5"10" and weigh 170 lbs. What size is recommended?

I am 5'10" and weigh 185 lbs. I ordered the X/XL to wear over other clothing and jacket. This works perfect for me because I like it big. However when I wear it along it is clearly oversized and feels big. I'd suggest the same size if you plan to wear it over any other thick weather gear and M/L if you want a tighter fit.

Q: Am 5'7 150 pounds.what size should I go for?

I’m near your size. Medium is good. You can still wear a warm layer underneath the rain jacket at medium.
