RepairBox Replacement Controller Silicone for GameCube

After replacing the worn out pads on my 17+ year old controller, the buttons feel like new again. I made sure to soak all the plastic controller pieces in a mild dish soap and water solution for about 20 mins and then letting them completely dry before installing the new pads. They feel just like the buttons on my new Genuine Nintendo Smash bros gamecube controller. All you need is a small tri-wing screwdriver. the replacement is very simple.

Works as intended!

I really like the quality of these pads. Definitely makes the buttons feel new again. I opted to only use the start button pad & A,B,X,Y buttons pad. I tried the directional pad and didn't like how tight it made the pad. Also I found the trigger button pads to lose that click that you need for games like Mario Sunshine. I play a lot of different GameCube games, not just Smash Bros Melee. Smash players will find the softer triggers more appealing then a collector that plays a rounded library. Overall I think they are very worth the price. I gave 4 stars because I just don't think the triggers & Directional pad feel quite right.

I use these to replace the old silicon in a used GameCube controller I bought a couple weeks ago, due to the a button being very soft when pressed. Even after cleaning the grime of the old controller, the old silicon was still too weak for my preference. I got these and they worked perfectly, the a button is actually Snappy and I can hear when I press it now. The only kind of this product is that it's an add-on item. I might pick up a couple more as spares in the future once GameCube related hardware becomes more scarce

These contact pads work but you will notice significant difference compared to the original manufactured ones. These pads are much thinner and thus they may rip much easier. In addition to this the contact pads do not 'reset' to their original shape as quickly after being pressed. Overall they are fine and will definitely get the job done but their worse performance may be noticed in games with more timing sensitive events or more frequent button presses.

For a few dollars you can have you buttons feel new. There is a noticible and immediate difference between having the silicon pads replaced or not. A more tactile and springy feedback. No more mushyness or stickiness Breathes new life back into and old controller.
