It works. Get it. Worked the first time I used it.
I was prompted to buy this device after hearing about a friend’s dog who had injured herself jumping out of a moving car. I have an 11 month old puppy who is both mischievous and adventurous. During a trip home with my dogs for Mother’s Day, I decided to stop at a drive-through for some coffee. My pup was in the front seat and without thinking I had rolled the window all the way down. Just outside of the car were a couple of birds fighting over a french fry and my puppy started barking and whining at them. While I was taking photos of her barking at the birds when she decided that she could take both of them on and get the fry for herself and hopped out the window. Luckily she had her harness and iBuddy restraint on and what could have been a tragedy was avoided. This was the very first time I used the device and it worked exactly as it was intended. Highly recommended.

** This saved my dogs life in a car accident **
I absolutely love these I bought two sets. They are super sturdy and hold very well. I will admit that for the longest time I didn’t buckle my dog in because honestly I didn’t think it was a big issue for some stupid reason , but One day I decided to purchase this on a whim and I am so glad That I did. Unfortunately they were put to the test recently when I was in a car accident with my service dog in the car with me. We were rear ended on the interstate in the rain which sent us flying into a concrete barrier head on then spun around somehow crossing all lanes just barely missing a semi truck by inches and hitting the concrete barrier on the other side. They said that I was very lucky to survive that. I had to have a surgery due to the accident but fortunately my dog was fine her vet said. She was a little traumatized which only lasted for a short time but physically fine. Had she not been buckled in she would’ve flown through the windshield or into the front dash, so I am forever grateful that these worked as promised. She is very precious to me and if I had lost her I would’ve been devastated. Thank you so much for making such a sturdy product that absolutely holds up well. For everyone else you need to definitely purchase this because believe me I tested it and it works. It is super easy to use and it’s a lifesaver. Just please make sure you use it with a harness not a collar. Don’t hesitate because your dogs life may depend on it.

Safetly keep your pets secured, you wear a seatbelt so should they...
Overall I like this product. You get 2 for a reasonable price. The snap-ring has a locking mechanism so it does not inadvertently get un-clipped from your dog's harness. There is also a few inches of elastic material at one end that acts as a bit of a shock absorber in the event the laws of physics are enacted upon your dog and it stays in motion when your car does not. The seat belt connectors snap into the seat belt device with no problem. I gave a few test pulls after clicking it in to see for myself if it would hold and did not come out. We now can take out dog along when we ride in the Jeep with the doors removed and know that he is same from falling out. It was tested, unfortunately, as we make a turn out of a parking lot and caught him off-guard and had it not been for the seatbelt strap and his harness he would have fell out of the Jeep. I am very happy with this. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is I wish it would adjust a bit shorter.

I just wish they could be a little shorter
We've been using these seat belts for our adult dog for the past year, and were extremely happy with them. I love the elasticity, which protects him from sudden impacts if we need to stop short. By attaching it to the front of his harness instead of the back, we can also prevent him from jumping out of the window if we need to leave him in the car for a bit. We stopped attaching it to the back of his harness, because he's tall enough that it wouldn't stop pulling on him, even when he was behaving himself. We had it at the longest setting, and it gave him just the right amount of freedom to pick which window he wanted to look out of, without being able to jump.We bought the two-pack because we knew we would get a second dog eventually. Now that the puppy is here, I wish the seat belts could be made even shorter. Even on the shortest setting, the seatbelt is just long enough for the puppy to roll off the seat when we need to stop the car suddenly, but then it will leave her dangling uncomfortably (painfully?) This was never a problem with our adult dog, since he has the necessary muscles, reaction time, and balance to not fall all over the place (and even when he does, he's not delicate enough to get hurt by it). So the length is perfect if you are using the seatbelts for an adult dog, but might be problematic for a young puppy.

Perfect Pair of Dog Seat Belts
The iBuddy Dog Seat Belt is perfect for when you and your four legged friend go for a ride in the car and you don't want your friend to go dashing into the front window when the car stops suddenly. What I love is that iBuddy is the perfect length for my Standard Poodle to stick his head out of the window just enough to get a whiff of the fresh air but not enough to make me feel like he is going to end up on the pavement. I no longer have to grab him as we go around a corner. The price was economical as well for me to get one for both of my cars. Added bonus for my bonehead husband who refuses to wear a seat belt and stop the annoying dinging noise the car makes when he sits in the seat with the seat belt unattached.

Weak Attachment—Inadequately Sewn on One End
The belt material appears to be what I’ve seen sold for mountain climbing. If it is then it is very strong. However, I believe the belt would fail in restraining a dog & come apart in an accident. One end of the belt is sewn on fairly securely with 2 lines of stitching and an ‘X’ stitched in between. However the other end has just 2 lines of stitching but no ‘X’ stitching & looks extremely weak. I’ve included a photo. Also the end by the buckle is being held together by a plastic buckle & slider. If the plastic breaks, the whole thing would come apart. I seriously question the plastic is strong enough to withstand much force.

Clip not for big dog harnesses.
Great except the clip doesn’t open up big enough to clip onto anything substantial. It won’t fit over my dog’s ruffwear harness loop nor on his cheap Walmart harness. I’ve had to clip it onto a second clip that will fit on the harness. Don’t expect it to clip on your dog’s harness unless it’s a 10lb dog with a tiny harness loop.

Product is crap
The clip on the product is too small to attach to most dog harnesses on the market. Thus you can’t hook you dog directly to the car leash.Quality is poor to fair and the product does not attach in some foreign model cars or late models (ie pre-2005).So all in all this product is crap. Save your money and go to the pet storeBtw the seller wants a 5 star rating and I said I want a refund. No refund so you get the truth.

Adjuster buckle easily broke
I have a lab and a lab/boxer cross - both are about 80 lbs - and this is the product recommended by the manufacturer. The lab/boxer is a rescue so we have to take him to a groomer for nail clipping. I purchased this because he likes to get in your face when I am driving, which I do not appreciate! This has been used 1-2 times a month for the last 6 months, so maybe 10 times in total. On Saturday, we had to take him to the vet. On arrival at the parking lot, he was excited and jumped out of the car before we could unclip him. The plastic buckle that is used to adjust the length of the strap broke and disappeared, probably under the car. This means, if there was any sort of collision, the strap would have had the same failure and would not have held him in the back seat. Rocky wears a harness with wide straps and this seatbelt attachment is clipped onto the D-ring on the chest.I have to say that everything else about this product seems really well made. If the clip was metal I expect it would be far more durable. Regrettably, I don't think I could recommend any seat belt attachment that has any plastic components on it that could fail in a collision.

A great product that needed a bit of a rethink...
While the manufacturer of this seatbelt uses the common style of belt that most dog-belt manufacturers use, what I saw in his presentation was an honest product made with honest materials. After Installing the belt according to the directions and using it for a while, I discovered that the dog was able to get the belt wrapped around one leg during use. Not good. The problem Is not specific to this manufacture and is common to all dog-belts that connect to a seatbelt bucket. The seatbelt bucket is barely above the platform the dog stands on so, unless the belt is so short the dog can’t move, getting a leg entangled is impossible to avoid. I solved the problem with a strong, spring-gated S-hook that allowed me to quickly connect and disconnect the belt to one of the upper child-seat anchors connected to the package shelf. By using this higher anchor, the length of the belt can increase giving the dog a bit more roaming room without the dog being able to move beyond the platform’s edges. More importantly, the belt is short enough to never have it, even under full slack, get low enough that the dog could step over it, the first step to becoming entangled in it.A second belt specifically designed to connect to the child-seat anchor is the way to go. Until that happens, this belt with a little non-destructive work-around is more than able to do its job. Good stuff.

Flawed Design
The product looks beautiful and the delivery was very prompt. Only problem is the clip doesn't allow a regular sized hook to pass through. It's impossible to use and there is no way to adjust it.
