PI Ideal Post-Operative Compression Bra - Seamless Cotton Bra for Breast Surgery, Black/Beige, Adjustable Straps

This was bought to be used post lumpectomy/mammosplasty/lymphadenectomy, surgery. I was advised to buy a good quality, high coverage, compression bra and this one ticked more of the boxes than any other I’d seen online, so I thought I’d give it a try. Its overall quality is much the same as other post surgery bras advertised online (which I also bought) of a considerably lower price point. However, the design of this bra means it’s so much more comfortable and supportive, especially if you have to wear it day and night, for weeks. The higher front means less pressing or digging in of areas across the chest, the wide band means it stays in place with no moving or riding up and the adjustable straps and back, mean you have the ability to fit it just right for your specific sizing needs, whilst the front fasteners mean less stretching and bending of your upper body when sore or stiff, as you’d have with a more standard design. I was a bit concerned that that area might be uncomfortable for me, given my surgery site, but it’s soft and comfortable and causing me no issue whatsoever. Additionally, the seams and labels being on the outside means less irritation or discomfort in places you don’t want. If I had to find fault in the design of this bra, my only slight gripe would be that the strap (where the fasteners are) could be a little more padded - occasionally I’m noticing a slight soreness from the pressure there. But it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me and it can be remedied with little cushion type things, designed for this kind of problem. I did measure myself for this bra, but bought the size up, to allow for some give for significant swelling I knew I’d have. Depending on what kind of surgery you’re having, you may not need to do that. Lastly, it is worth noting the price. It is considerably more expensive than many other bras designed for the same purpose and if, like me, you’re going to have to wear one 24 hours a day for some weeks, realistically you’ll need at least 2 bras designed for this. Whilst I would consider it a reasonably expensive option, I can say, 6 days post surgery, that it has been the most comfortable and supportive bra I bought, and I’m genuinely so glad I did. The comfort alone, has been worth every penny, for me personally. So much so, I did buy additional ones and now will only be wearing this specific brand & design, throughout the rest of my recovery. Obviously, what works for me won’t necessarily be best for everyone, but I would say, if you’re considering it and it’s option for you from a cost point of view - it’s definitely worth a try.

Der BH ist super für die postoperative Zeit nach einer Brustreduktion. Er schließt gut ab, umfasst die ganze Brust und übt gleichmäßig Druck aus, besonders wichtig in dem ersten Monat nach der OP. Er ist bequem, verstellbar und durch die äußeren Etiketten stört es auch nicht. Der BH sollte vor dem ersten Tragen gewaschen werden, da ich anfangs mit Juckreiz zu kämpfen hatte. Klare Empfehlung für Menschen, die auf der Suche nach einem Post-OP BH sind! Ich trage den BH auch nach 3 Monaten noch gerne. Für die erste Zeit würde ich diesen BH deutlich stärker empfehlen, als den Kompressions-BH mit Ausschnitt, den Lipoelastic auch anbietet.

Dopo un anno di utilizzo costante, è Quasi perfetto. Lo lavo a mano, per preservarne l'integrità. Consiglio una taglia giusta, non comoda, per assolvere alla sua funzione.

Reggiseno usato per post intervento. Le misure sono da considerare nella posizione più esterna quindi conviene prendere una taglia in più. Io ne ho presi due di due taglie diverse. Molto contenitivo ma allo stesso tempo comodo da portare giorno e notte, di ottima fattura e materiale. Sicuramente consigliato.

Habe den BH nach einer Verkleinerung als Zweit-BH bestellt. Beim Anprobieren nach dem Auspacken hatte ich den Eindruck, es passt perfekt und ich konnte den Bh auf engster Stufe tragen. - Nach dem Waschen (gemäß Anleitung) einen Tag später kam mir alles etwas enger vor und ich kann ihn nur noch auf 'lockerster' Stufe tragen - Es betrifft v.a. das Unterbrustgummi, was nun etwas unangenehm eng ist. Eigentlich schrumpft so ein Stoff ja nicht (?), deshalb weiß ich es nicht, ob es wirklich so war. - Ich empfehle deshalb beim erstmaligen Anprobieren sich auch mal hinzusetzen und etwas den Oberkörper zu bewegen (dem aktuellen Heilungs-Zustand entsprechend). Sonst: Negativ: - es gibt an den Schultern ein paar kleiner harte Kanten, die man aber nur selten merkt - das Unterbrustgummi klappt beim Bewegen halb nach oben um Positiv: + Angenehmer Stoff, besonders für den Sommer + Ausschnitt unter den Achseln nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig + gut, dass es die drei verschd. Stufen hat Neutral: - die Kompression über die Brust hinweg ist relativ, da hatte ich früher beim 'Shock Absorber'-Sport-BH mehr. Aber es darf post-OP auch nicht viel zu viel Kompression sein und es ist auch nicht weniger Kompression als beim Produkt vom Sanitätshaus.
