I decided to order this AED trainer as it’s good to know how to administer this equipment correctly if needed especially now with defibrillators located at various points and locations where needed. The trainer system itself is quite small and that makes it portable, however that said the quality and size along with the feel resembles toys I’ve purchased for my toddler and I assumed with this being a defibrillator trainer there would be a in-depth training manual with step by step guidance with pictures and what I actually got was a small palm size pamphlet with 8 pages. At the time of ordering this trainer cost £63.59 which is very expensive considering what I received in my opinion.

This is quite an expensive device for what it is, which is a simulator for use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), but such trainers tend be quite expensive anyway, with some training models costing more than an actual defibrillator! In the world of training defibrillators it turns out to be at the lower end of the price range. In the box is the unit itself, a pair of electrode pads, a cable to connect to the pads and a 9-page user manual. The cable for connecting the pads is effectively just a shorting link; if the cable's in, the device thinks the pads are there, whether they're actually connected or not, and will proceed with the rest of the sequence. The review video shows the unit in action through its whole cycle (but with the 2 minute CPR metronomes cut short). It would no doubt prove useful in conjunction with a training mannequin, but for general training its functionality could easily be replicated with a smartphone app.

Really good for practicing during training exercises

The device itself is amazing and so compact but does exactly what it should. Mine came with the connecting cable missing, but on contacting their customer service team and whole new kit was sent out free of charge

The equipment ordered arrived the day after and was immediately used in training for our scout leaders on tneitpr first aid course. Easy to setup and use. For training purposes, you can’t get better.

The experience that I have with this mini trainer is good so far because this compact device is designed for those learning how to use external defibrillator which is essential for health and safety training that I have at work. The trainer simulates the functions of a real aed without the risk and it allows me to understand the steps involved in this operation. The size of the trainer makes it easy to carry it around anywhere and it comes with clear instructions to guide me through the various scenarios that I can encounter. Using this trainer taught me the first aid basic procedures that I have to follow and it has been a valuable addition to learn essential life saving techniques.

Ich habe das Gerät gekauft, weil ich für meinen Beruf regelmäßig erste Hilfe Kurse machen muss, und dann einfach auch damit üben kann. Das Gerät ist sehr klein und unscheinbar, gut zum mitnehmen. Ich finde es wirkt nicht gerade wertig, weil es einfach klein und leicht ist und die Kabel auch sehr dünn sind, aber letztlich spielt das eigentlich keine Rolle. Es spielt aber eine Rolle bei den LEDs, dazu weiter unten. 😐 Da es ein deutsches Gerät ist, finde ich es etwas schade, dass die Beschriftung auf dem gerät nur auf englisch ist. Man würde zwar meinen, dass es intuitiv ist, erst mal den An Knopf zu drücken, aber vielleicht ja auch nicht. Auch die beiliegende Anleitung ist auf Englisch, was laut EU Richtlinie für ein Produkt auf dem deutschen Markt gar nicht sein darf. ✅ Die Sprachführung ist aber tatsächlich auf Deutsch. ✅ Die Pads hab ich jetzt 2 mal benutzt, sie lassen sich gut wiederverwenden bisher. ✅ Ansonsten ist das Gerät halt wie die echten Defis Idiotensicher. man folgt einfach der lauten, klaren Stimme. ❌ schlecht finde ich bei dem Preis, dass die aufleuchtenden LEDs sehr unklar sein. Leuchte z.B. das nicht berühren Zeichen, leuchtet von innen heraus auch automatisch auch das Blut Symbol mit auf (nicht so stark, aber im Stress könnte man auch denken, das heißt man soll da rauf drücken). Da sollte man wirklich im inneren alles so abschirmen, dass die LEDs nur das beleuchten, was sie beleuchten sollen (siehe Video). 😐 Ich frage mich halt persönlich, ob der Preis für so ein kleines Gerät gerechtfertigt ist. Ich weiß nicht, ob es wirklich Herzströme messen kann, aber für ein Trainingsgerät, das letztlich zwei Knöpfe, einen Lautsprecher, eine festes Programm und ggf. eine Messung von Spannung (?) oder Widerstand macht und nicht gerade hochwertig verarbeitet ist, finde ich den Preis ganz schön happig. Aber es erfüllt seinen Zweck beim erste Hilfe Kurs.

Wenn die Trainierenden akzeptieren dass es kein Spielzeug ist sondern ein Trainingsgerät kann man damit super BLS trainieren. Die Sprache ist klar und laut genug. Es ist aber immer ein schockbarer Rhythmus der auch zum Erfolg führt. Bei der zweiten Rhythmusanalyse wird kein erneuter Schock empfohlen.
