Question 1

white vinegar or water?? thanks

Accepted Answer

We recognize that lead swabs can vary among different suppliers, and many of them require the use of white vinegar for activation, which involves maintaining a pH level below 7. This can sometimes make the testing process inconvenient and less reliable. In contrast, AAwipes lead swabs employ an innovative approach by incorporating acidic components, allowing for direct use after immersing them in water (Please see video). As the swabs are used, they undergo a color transformation from orange-red to purple. This unique design offers exceptional selectivity, as it exclusively detects the presence of lead. While the swabs themselves are safe for household use, it is important to note that they should not be placed in the mouth and should be kept out of reach of children and pets. Additionally, avoid touching the swab tip with your hands.
