A lovely book
Terrific, I've just finished ready this to my seven year old daughter and she now wants the Morpurgo Beowolf, after having the Seamus Heaney Beowulf already read to her. This book is a keeper for her children, only the second to have achieved that status after Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls.

Beautiful book - an English classic!
This is a beautiful book. I love the tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Not too sure of the intended age range of this particular version as it's written by a children's author and the illustrations are child orientated, but as an adult and a reader of the normal paperback version, there are 'adult' scenes.

Lovely little read!
Read with my 4yr old son and it's great. I have read the Simon Armitage one (one of my faves) but this was lovely to read together. Now to try Beowulf.

Great story
Michael Morpurgo is a great story teller and this book lives up to his reputation. It is easy to read and well illustrated.I would recommend this to anyone who loves the stories of King Arthur and his Knights.

Very good - in as good a condition as one could expect considering the age of the book. Purchased mainly for the illustrations by Hope Bourne.
