Forgotten - a book that can't be put down
Another Susan Lewis stupendous read. Couldn't put this down, a great story of first love and family and the emotional rollercoaster of a daughter accepting another woman into her father's life. Without giving the plot away, Lisa and David have rekindled their love following the death of David's wife. However, with David's daughter not accepting Lisa into the family their marriage starts to have cracks, but then David's illness takes over...

Very touching
I loved this book, simple as this, when i read first bit i thought it would be a political thing but it turned out to be a very humanly touching story, it had me crying several times, its just life can be so cruel and we go by not noticing what happens to others and their suffering, beautifully written, sad and touching.

Not forgotten!
Susan Lewis's stories are always a joy to read. Her characters are real people caught up in everyday situations which the reader can relate to. Not always lilly-white or perfect, they are fallible and vulnerable like most of us.When you start reading this story you may think from the first few chapters that the characters are leading perfect lives and you could find yourself being slightly bored, even indifferent to them but read on as all is not what is seems. Make sure you have a box of tissues handy unless you are completely hard-hearted!

Easily forgotten!
It is very hard to write your opinion on this book without majorly spoiling the main plot but I will try my hardest. I have always been a fan of Susan Lewis and find her books often have a very real and harrowing storyline and this one is no different. The book is a little bit of a slow starter as we are introduced to all the main characters such as Lisa, David and David's daughter Rosalind. Although slow to begin with once you have a real feel for the characters the story progresses with hints as to the major problem they will both be facing. The issues that the book covers, and the reality of it for the characters, are written with real feeling and are very descriptive. From this perspective I think Susan Lewis shone and although the book is not the typical `feel-good' you may expect it is written with incredible sensitivity. The story itself is very believable and will be an eye opener for people that know nothing about the subject matter. Although I wouldn't go as far as to say this is her best work it's certainly not awful. I think the fact that it was quite slow was one downside. The only other real negative I found was the abrupt turnaround in the character Rosalind towards the end of the book. All in all the story and characters were good but the story itself a little sad. I felt that the ending was okay although maybe it could have ended very differently had the author wanted to follow that path.I certainly hope that Susan Lewis will produce a much better book next time as some of my favourite books have been hers such as `Missing'. This book wasn't bad but is certainly not a reflection on the sort of books she can produce.

Good
This book was sad and moving but not extraordinary. It didn't have a storyline until about 77% which annoyed me. I wish the book was like other Susan Lewis books because the other books have mystery and page turning. It was good but not the best.

Simply a beautiful book about human emotion
This book pulled me from crying to laughing to mourning to rejoicing. Susan Lewis just gets to the heart of everyday normal fragile humans trying to navigate life. What a heartbreaking beautiful story.

I always find Susan's books a good easy read
Another easdy read with a story line you don't know how it will end till the last few pages, sad but a lot of true to life happenings, especially this one to me as my Mother suffered the same condition as on of the characters so brought back memories of her suffering and was very real as the character in the story suffered as my Mum did. Also the booked explained the condition to me more than any Dr here explained it to me, so undrestand what she went through more than I realised at the time of her suffering. Thanx once again Susan
