Good quality. Worth the cost.
I have purchased these 3 times as I have expanded the number of pots I use and as a gift. I've used other cheaper brands, including the one where you get 5 pots for this same price. These are made of substantially thicker, more durable materials. I've gotten the black and tan ones, they're both made about the same. The tan ones will sometimes grow algae on the outside of them. The black ones will get hotter in the direct sun. So, pick your poison... These will last several seasons, particularly if you empty them and bring inside at the end of the season. I've given up on the cheap ones because they disintegrate and tear and, for me, their frustration just isn't worth it. I use the 20 gal version for tomatoes, inside a concrete reinforcing wire cage, fed by drip irrigation. Once set up, there's no work all season, except to trim suckers. A 20 gal pot with soil is not easy to move and the handles help, but they will rip if it's full and wet and you try to pick it off the ground (although far less than the cheaper ones). I generally move them before they're full and fill to the top once they're in place. Overall, these are high quality, and I think worth the extra cost for better materials, construction, and longevity.

Love the bags and the colors.....
Great bags for plantings! I planted 3 blueberry plants and 2 grape vines in my 5 - 20 gal. bags. Totally moveable and water drains quickly. Air roots the plants which is great! Made in the USA in OKC, OK. Love the bag colors as it helps me to recall what I've planted in each bag. Will purchase more in the future.

Shipped the wrong product
I'm not sure how to rate this product, but I figured it might be helpful for some. I ordered the 20gal black w/handles. Received 20gal black w/o handles. I specifically wanted the maneuverability. Product looks high quality, seams looked strong and fabric looked breathable. Kind of pricey for what it is, but I was willing to pay for the longevity. I debated for a while to either keep it and deal with the less manageable control or return it. I returned it for another product. My order of 3 came from 3 separate warehouse/seller and had to do three returns. Not a big deal, but tells me that there might be a sku/inventory ID issue with this item if 3 different orders of the same product are wrong. Maybe I'll try next season to see if the misidentified inventory is corrected. It might be worth having a back up option if you are ordering specifically for the handled version. If I were looking for this without handles, I guess I would rate 4 stars, assuming it holds up and performs like others have reviewed.

If you're growing with a hydroponic media, this is something that will change your garden. I went from a ten plant, 1.2 pound yield, to a two plant 2 pound yield. The oxygen intake to the root system is increased to such a degree that growth is unstoppable. You would have to graduate to a dwc with massive air stones to compare. The smart pot also allows the root system to have better control of ph, and nutrient deficiencies and/or build-ups, just better control all around. You have a lot of leeway with this system. You can ballpark your measurements and still get massive results, the plant maintains itself much better. The only thing I wish is that I switched a long time ago. I'll never grow in regular pots again. It's like having an air stone system in soil. That's the best I can describe it. I haven't tried a regular soil grow in these, I'm using soilless pro-mix, but I would still back these up in a heartbeat. I combined two of these with a scrog system, a 1000 watt hid, and a basic nute routine. Flowers occurred sooner, were two to three times the size I was used too, and stacked. I used a third gen clone, so I had a good basis for comparison. Since the lumens in a room are finite, you have a limit on yield. If you're struggling to get everything you can out of your light's output, this is a step in the right direction. You will not be disappointed, or regret this purchase. They're well made, and heavy duty. Mine are 15 gallon, that's what I'm reviewing. I would assume construction quality of different sizes are the same, but can't attest to that. Mine seem to suspend about three gallons of water before any flushing occurs. This is so much better than multiple pots needing attention. Stems are a thing of the past, I have branches now. I've incorporated a silica nutrient into my regimen, so this is playing a part, but I still think the improved breathing of the root system is also a major factor. I tried really hard to think of any cons, but seriously, there's none. My results and experiences with these containers has been nothing but positive. If there is anything to mention, I would only say that when you set your watering solution's ph, take into consideration the intake of air into the root system. My experience so far has shown that I need to set the solution at a 6.2 to achieve a 5.8 once it's gone through a moderately developed root system. When your plant is small, this isn't a big problem. However, as the root system grows and develops, you will need to take this into consideration. You would have the same issue in a regular container, but more so in this one. The outside air temperature, readily available oxygen, and ease of run-off are factors to consider when setting your nutrient solution ph. Also, and this is getting into minutia, I had to adjust the magnesium levels to correct an iron build-up. This was very slight, and I'm not sure if this container had anything to do with it. I don't have RO water to use, and that is always going to be a factor. I've tested these in a real world scenario and seen the results. If you're looking for hydroponic 'purist' results in a soilless media, this is as good as it gets. You would have to go to a recirculating dwc system to get better results, and even then, I would put these to the challenge. Highly recommended.

Smart Pots 15 Gallon
I am using this on a second story deck, for a tomato plant (with a small pepper plant tucked in for company). It appears to be quite sturdy. The instructions tell you to fill it carefully, keeping the sides straight as you go. It took almost exactly a full 32 qt. bag of potting material to fill it, so it is probably wise to fill it where you plan to use it. I put mine on a wheeled base, so I can move it easily to follow the sun. This is the first time I have used this, so this rating is based on a few weeks experience, rather than a whole season, but I'm optimistic that it will produce good results, and last for several seasons.

Quality appears good, holds well, easy to transport with strong handles. Looks good drains well. In time will know if it does what it claims but for now impressed.

Mi esposo los usa para hacer un huerto en nuestro balcón. ¡Son perfectos! También hacen un buen swing para tus hijos 😂 Agregar ese video para mostrar cuán fuertes son en realidad esas ollas.
