Comparing with similar products in similar price range, this unit is a Solar Rechargeable, both a Nightlight, Disco Light and Bug Zapper all in one perfectly small, light weight portable unit. It includes a small handle/hanger which is perfect for hanging on a tree limb or for carrying with you on nighttime strolls.Unit works as expected, however be forewarned that Some flying pests may NATRUALLY NOT be attracted to the UV light. Please keep that in mind. This is a great unit for Camping or for your home or Patio. We used this for camping and I'd highly recommend this unit.It is a Very Well Thought out Product. VERY HAPPY TO OWN! Might get another one!

In theory, great concept except it is not functional at all. Didn't "zap" anything and the solar component is exactly what is states.....it is not a power source it is a "back up" function, it does not power the unit in and of itself you have to plug it in to charge it. If you are considering this unit I would recommend to keep looking.

I bought one similar last year but it had never called anything bigger than a fruit fly. This one works great! It gets moths, mosquitos, tons of flies, and anything else that goes into it. It's perfect for my patio. No too bright but bright enough that it very sufficiently attracts the bugs. It collected them in the bottom and had actually been great because it catches some decent sized moths and doesn't always zap them completely which is great because I can take the bottom off and collect the large moths and feed them to my toad 😂👍 That's a bonus in my book because it's less crickets I have to buy. It I AMAZING though at killing the flies and mosquitos. Definitely recommend. The company is great. (The picture is after only 12 hours or so.)

This product is cool. You can charge it or let the sun charge it. It will stand up to rain so far. It fun wo turn it on even on the low setting and watch all the bugs blow up

Update:I am updating the review because the company reached out to me and they are improving their quality assurance process. They are making this right with me and I appreciate their willingness to improve. While I am returning the defective product I will reorder this bug zapper.Original review:I opened the package and connected the charging cable, left it to charge overnight. I can’t tell how much of a charge it has but figured overnight should be sufficient. I pressed the on button and the bug zapping portion displayed blue light and I prepared to experience some mosquito zapping. However, less than 5 minutes later it went off. I pressed the start button again and, once more, the zapping portion with the blue light stayed on less than 5 minutes! Even plugged in and charging the bug zapping portion turns off after just minutes. I am returning this unit.

I don’t understand the purpose of the solar panels on the top because they don’t work. To use this device it must be brought inside and recharged with the cord each time before use. Not the reason I purchased it. Save your money. I already had one with a cord and didn’t need another

I can't figure out how to contact seller. My item came on time but without a charger however that was the least of my worries. This mosquito zapper does NOT zapper mosquitoes or any other kind of bugs! I don't know if this zapper just doesn't work, maybe it's defective... but it doesn't take out any type of bugs! I had the thing on & the bugs were just eating me & my family up, I slapped one right off my arm right next to the zapper that was on right next to me.
