Next to Normal: Vocal Selections

The book is great! Appropriate paper, printing and coloring! Hey... perfect for me.

I bought this vocal selections book shortly after listening to the soundtrack of the Original Cast. I was let down because it doesn't contain ALL of the songs from the show. In fact, the reason I bought it was so I could perform a song from it for my senior recital in college, but the song I wanted wasn't in there. Aside from that, it is great. It's easy to see which character sings which part and the page turns are fairly easy. All in all it was a good buy!

This is a high quality recording accompanied by written narrative of the play, so even if the listener has not seen the play, the songs on the soundtrack are still in context .I would recommend this to anyone who has been fortunate enough to see any production of this musical and to anyone who struggles or knows someone who struggles with mental illness. I only hope the play itself comes out on DVD eventually and that Amazon will offer it for sale.

This book came very quickly in the mail and was packaged correctly. I found the selections were good. There were only a few song I wish they had included, but I understand why they were not. One thing that I especially like it the print and staff are bold and easy to read.

This is a wonderful notebook, with every details of voice, piano, and chords. The notes may allso be playd with trumpet or guitar, and other instruments. The chords may be a bit hard, but just practice if you dont get it the first time. Perfet if you want to set up the musical itselves.

I love this musical and the interpretation of the songs are wonderful even though this book doesn't contain all of the songs as other reviews have stated. Unfortunately there isn't a full version, so this one will have to do.

SO glad this message is getting out there. Read it, listen to it, and if you have a chance to see a quality production of this show, DO IT!

While it bothers me a little bit that the vocal notes aren't included in the piano lines, I do like how easy it is to play this amazing music! Well worth the purchase.

Incredible score and these vocal selections represent that superbly! Fantastic to sing to and for musicians to play! Really a score or a lifetime.
