Really Economical Way To Add Ambience To The Garden
The media could not be loaded. I requested this light set to light up the patio around the shed when the night closes in on warm summer evenings. The set arrived in reasonably plain box with all the bulbs bundled in together.I liked the rope effect which unlike having just wire made it really easy to unravel them. The set comprised of a solar unit with a screw mount and a soil/grass peg, fixing screws/rawl plugs, instructions and remote control. There is also a hinged section on the back to hook it onto a fence. The bulbs are separate and use a 2 pin plug that pushes into the connector from the solar panel and is secured with a threaded collar to keep it water tightI was quite impressed by the solar panel ,it looks well made and it's a reasonable size and is almost like a proper solar controller with a built-in power switch with light that glows red. There is also an internal battery level indicator which is very handy to see the charge state of the battery. It has a green indicator light for when charging by solar plus another light to indicate when the string is turned on. It also has a mode and timer set switch. The biggest plus for me is that it has a Usb C input on the back so I can charge it for winter time in the house to keep the internal battery topped up as I have found in winter other ones I’ve used without that option run out over winter. The bulbs are a decent clear plastic. I was glad to see plastic as I'm not a lover of glass bulbs in the garden in case they get broken. The lights don’t have any hooks on them like some. I was able to fix them with cable clips and having rope outer the clip didn’t squeeze on the wire too much, which was good.I fixed the solar panel with the bracket using the screws provide on the top of a shed and angled it to the sky in a position where it would get a fair amount of sun for most of the day . It works with just bright sky too anyway. The push connector from the solar is D shaped and lines up with a slot and it was easy to push-in to link to the bulbs. The light sensor worked as expected and as it became dark the light came on automatically. The lights worked very nicely and I think the remote control is an excellent addition compared to my other ones. Really useful.I was not only able to turn them on and off without touching the back of the solar panel but I could also set the "on" timer ( 3 hrs/5 hrs /8 hrs plus dim them which I also think is a really great feature as sometimes we found them too brightThey really do a great the job of adding to the ambience in the evening. So far the solar panel has been charging perfectly. I occasionally check it when the sky is brighter and I can see the green solar light is on.The lights have been on and off for just under a week now on a 5 hours timer and they have lasted without any issues. The solar seems to be doing a good job of keeping the built-in battery topped up. It has been very sunny though. In summary:I like the fact that they are solar powered and I’m able to add ambience to the garden without feeling guilty or worrying about the cost of electricity. All in all extremely happy with the light set. I think they are a reasonable price too, (£21.99 at the time of the review). I personally can't fault them and I’ve actually bought another set for our garage too.

Stunning!
These are so lovely! I love the rope string. So much nicer than ugly wiring for a more natural look. I miscalculated how many I'd need, I have a small garden and 2 wasn't quite enough so I've ordered one more so please measure before ordering . But providing they last I'm very happy! Money well spent. Bring on the summer!

they transform your garden into a romantic place
Aesthetically these are just too beautiful. I love the hemp as gives a little romantic touch to the garden.I have been testing this for the last 2 weeks. We have had good sunny days already, and also lots of rain and wind and they are in perfect shape and good condition. Took a picture with them all wet after a heavy rain night and they don't have any water inside. The light is not as powerful as I wanted in the beginning but gives the perfect light for a garden leaving a very romantic environment. They work perfectly with getting solar power, and also have tried to plug it in to main power and worked exactly the same with both.Remote control doesn't have a long distance but works very good and super easy to set up all the different type of functions and brightness of the light as you can choose 4 different brightness and 8 types of modes such as twinkling, slow fading and so on...And what works best for me is that I can set a timer for some hours, so even if not in the garden or at home I can put it to work for 3, 5 or 8 hours. and will give you some light in the back garden and also for security will leave the idea that someone is always there.

Bright and adaptable!
A nice alternative to the usual black wired plug in garden lights. Utilising solar power is always welcomed to save on my ridiculous electricity bills! The wiring looks much nicer in my beach bar styled deck and the solar light can power these well past their required lighting time (more so on a really sunny day!) A great feature is the ability to add power through USB if you need them lasting all night though! Something Ill certainly utilise when Im having a large party! The bulbs are a nice warm white and theres a number of different modes you can have them in, from flashing to wave to slow mo. These look great but can be distracting if you have that set at all times. I just have them on permanently and occasionally show them off to friends with the wave function. This is all controlled by the included remote control. One thing to note: Because the wire is a made of hemp rope, after a downpour they do gain some weight until dried out. Just be aware of this when hanging and make sure they are well fastened up. They can dip quite a bit if strung across large gaps. I have mine fastened to my gazebo so I don’t have that problem as they are relatively covered from rain.Overall Im impressed with these lovely string lights. They’re unique, look really nice, good and bright for a solar powered set of lights and have loads of different lighting effects. Very pleased.
