I have a little boy who loves things like finding out how things work or illusion type tricks so this was right up his street. If I'm honest, the contents itself are just plastic 'tatt' type things but nevertheless he is enjoying performing the tricks for us and of course we put on our best amazed faces!Usually it takes one of us parents to sit with him and explain what he needs to do then he will go and show it to his brother and other family members but he is 6 and I think they seem relatively simple and straightforward for kids to reeenact.

There's a large variety here of interesting tricks all with their own pieces - although some do require a little extra that you'll have to grab yourself. It's quite elaborate and there's plenty to do that range from simple visual tricks, card tricks to more elaborate and involved ones. I thought it would be perfect for my little ones but there is a lack of cohesion to it all since the many physical parts aren't properly contextualized that well, and the instructions aren't very easy to follow with that in mind.The quality is fine considering the value of it, and there is a large variety so I do think it's alright.

interesting kit, to say the least, just hard to follow at times and it may require adult intervention to figure out things.but my son enjoyed it (for a while)

My kid is just shy of 6 so the youngest end of the estimated age range on this. He really enjoys playing with it but has struggled with a fair few of the tricks he’s tried without some practice and/or some grownup help. The instructions aren’t the clearest for him either so it’s been a case of one of us does the trick with him so he can then perform to me or my husband (whoever didn’t help).For the listing though you do get a lot included and is definitely more than a one play entertainment set. Would be really good for a birthday present where it’s budget friendly.

Myself and my husband spent over an hour reading the instructions for these tricks and still could only manage to understand about 4 or 5 of them. The instructions are so complex with no imagery or any idea which piece of the magic kit it is referring to - how a 6 year old would manage I have no idea! It is impossible!The magic kit comes split into a few bags each with some tools and instructions. Once you've opened them all up, you have no idea which one goes where as there is no sheet of paper giving the names with images of each of the components to the tricks.Many of the tricks require you to use your own jewellery, coins and notes, or rubber bands etc. All things I just couldn't be bothered to go and find after an hour of trying and failing to understand the instructions.The wand is cool but broke within 20 minutes. Not an easy repair.The thumb is really fun and easy to do - probably the best trick in there.The mind reading box was really fun too and I managed to trick my husband with that one.As for all the other 70+ tricks you can do I cannot comment on because I just could not, as a 30 year old woman, understand what on earth the instructions were talking about. Unfortunate.

It has some of the notorious tricked such as the magic wand, magic egg cup, cards and 3 cups. Easy tricks to play with your audience and make balls, coins, hankies disappear or guessing the chosen cards.There is no manual. Each set of tricks comes with a leaflet of instructions and I think kids below the age of 8 or 9 might actually find it difficult to comprehend even if they have great reading ability! Step by step pictures and words would be much better but an adult can help little ones learn all the tricks.A great set to promote the development of critical thinking skills, performing and boost their self-confidence.
