Helps heal quicker
This stuff is great. I love this for cuts, scrapes, burns, etc.. It helps speed up the healing process. It is lightweight on the skin and doesn’t leave an oily residue. This is perfect for my sensitive skin. I even use it on my 15 month old when she gets bumps and scrapes and it works so well on her sensitive skin as well and helps speed up her healing.

Open-Heart Surgery Incision and Tube Wounds
Had open-heart surgery five weeks ago. My 13” scar looked angry and red the fourth day after surgery, with the top of the incision, right below my neck, looking as big as a 1/2 red tennis ball poking up under the skin. And it hurt! While in the hospital, asked six nurses, one NP, two cardiologists, and a resident about it. All just nodded. Five days later, at home, asked the visiting home care nurse about possible infection. Got the same answer…if it gets infected, we can open it and put a wound dressing on it.Ya think?? I preferred to be a bit more pro-active.Looked infected to me. But, what do I know? On the next visit, the home nurse freaked, and sent pictures to the surgeon. She was insisting he see me that very day. According to her, this was about to burst and that would put me back in the hospital. Surgeon declined to see me and prescribed antibiotics.Six years previous, I had great results using this product (recommended by a friend) on my dog’s infected ear, which the vet kept cutting small portions off because it was infected, and the tissue was dieing.I asked every medical professional listed above if I could used this product on my incision. Each looked at the product for two seconds before saying no. Never read what it was or what it even contained. All…just a flat NO!After the nurse freaked, and not wanting to return to the hospital, I took matters into my own hands. I cleaned the wound (using q-tips) twice daily with a product from Amazon called Hibiclens (Chlorhexidine Gluconate solution 4.0% w/v), gently dried it, then using a different q-tip gently applied this collodial silver to the incision, including the two gaping wounds where tubes were inserted into my chest. On the next visit (3 days later) the nurse was astounded and taking pictures of this product. Never saw any healing like this. Saw the surgeon’s NP a few days later. She said she never saw the lips of the two tube wounds close so well and so quickly. She also took pics of the product. Also said, that if she had been asked, she would have told me NOT to use this product, just like all the other medical professionals I asked had told me.This is why I’m writing this review. It has been five weeks. Scar and wounds are healing beautifully. All medical professionals are stunned. This is not medical advice. It is my experience. I will always have two bottles of this stored in my house.Oh.. also had pain in the skin under my color bone. Any fabric touching it was very uncomfortable. NP said it was nerve pain from the surgery which sometimes happen. Just a little of this product, on a tissue, gently applied to the skin stopped the pain in a few minutes. Used it twice a day, for a short time.Best of luck with whatever you are dealing with, especially if you’ve read this far. Hugs, and I hope you feel better soon.

So glad Silver antibacterials are coming back in favor!! Too bad we had to create Superbugs for it to regain popularity
This is one of the highest potency Silver Gels I could locate. I've been having issues with a wound healing properly and read that the popularity of silver base antibacterial treatments had had a resurgence in popularity in the medical community. Many, many (OK way to many) years ago Silver creams were popular with Drs. Now they have regained popularity primarily due to the advent of various super bugs which have not respond to traditional antibiotic ointments.A similar history can be said about the use of medical grade Manuka Honey and such as the product MediHoney ointment and bandages. Both Silver and very high grade Manuka Honey are being successfully used where standard antibacterials have failed. Go to Youtube and search for MediHoney and you may find a one hour lecture by a wound management specialist from George Washington University. Even CVS pharmacy is carrying some Manuka bandages which says something. CVS also carries the ASAP Silver Gel but I prefer this Extra Strength 35ppm gel.I can verify that this gel has been much more effective at keeping the wound clean of infection than various ointments the Dr had recommended. Although he was the one to give me a tube of silver gel from a different manufacturer. I also believe that keeping a wound too moist, as when ointments are used, is not the best idea and they can then just become breeding grounds for bacterium. The Extra Strength Silver Gel has significantly reduced the inflammation around the wound site where nothing else seemed to do so. Years ago I remember that silver creams were were popular but probably fell out of favor with the advent of triple antibiotics. I have always prefer silver over the ointment so very glad I can buy it again without an Rx.This brand is stronger than the tube of silver gel the Dr gave me (ASAP Brand) which had 25 ppm. Elta also makes a silver gel which is 55ppm but it is only 1 oz and about $20. Elta's disperser has a long, narrow tube applicator which may be superior for certain applications like a tunneling wound.I had read on line that people were trying silver based treatments both for acne and inflammatory rosacea so tested it on my cheek area which is always reddish. It did not burn or cause increased redness but did tighten the skin a little. Probably too strong for that use or me. I gave some of this to a friend's teenage daughter who is starting to have acne on her forehead and think Silver might be a good way to knock back some of the acne bacterium, especially with the anti-inflammatory actions I experienced. I think too strong for daily use as your skin has some beneficial bacterium too. I don't know whether the reduction of redness around the wound was due to the silver having actual anti-inflammatory properties or just a reduction of bacteria surrounding the wound. More research and experimentation would be needed.I very much like the pump applicator versus a tube of the ASAP. Better control. Each pump dispenses less than a dime-size dollop of gel. I did have to return the first one because the pump didn't work properly and the company very quickly refunded my money without any hassle what so ever.I think I will always keep some of this on hand for cuts and scrapes on both myself and my dogs (would wrap so they could not lick). I would highly recommend this product for wounds or inflammatory conditions. Hopefully we are just beginning to learn the possible uses for such silver based products.

Skin healing product
This product is just wonderful. I have used for several years now. It really speeds up the healing time of your skin issues. The only draw back was it took over a week to get. Definitely not a 1 day prime.
