Calabrian Sweet Onion Jam

I had no idea this was a thing until recently. Someone mentioned it online and I had to try it. It's very sweet and flavorful and a little goes a long way. Too much and you could ruin whatever you're making with it, for me it's typically a sandwich. It has the consistency of other jams but you don't even notice the onions in it from a texture perspective.

Too late to ask for a refund now. Highly disappointed that I purchased this in October and shelved it trusting that it was properly packaged. I have no idea when the seal broke but I’m big sad now.

This was the first time any of us had tried onion jam, and most of us were pleasantly surprised! It's definitely sweet. I didn't taste much in terms of the raisin, just a sweet onion. We put ours on burgers, and while initially a little odd to wrap our minds around a sweet jam on a burger, it seemed to heighten the flavor up a notch. I like it!

Almost the same as the one I had in Naples Italy.

Calabrian Sweet Onion Jam was delicious on our sandwiches. Inside the beautifully wrapped jar, there are Caramelized Red Onions, sugar, raisins, and red wine vinegar. This jam is sweet with just a touch of sour, and it adds a different twist & taste to our food. Not only does this taste fabulous, it would make a great hostess gift, or addition to gift baskets. This was made in Italy.

I've never had onion jam before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm thrilled with how tasty this jam is. It is definitely sweet, like you'd expect from a jam, but the vinegar cuts through the sweetness just a bit. The flavor of the red onion is strong and very good. I've been eating this on crackers, but it would also go well on vegetables or on a sandwich. The texture is very smooth, and it looks good too. All in all, it's a very nice product that I definitely want to try again.
