REVISED REVIEW: After receiving my first harness that was a used harness someone returned, I reached out to the company ROAM and received a response very quickly. Obviously they cannot control Amazon’s process and poor processes, but they were apologetic and wanted to replace it free of charge and gave a regular matching ROAM dog collar free of charge. I was very impressed with their customer service. So far the harness has been great. It fits my 5 month old English cream golden retriever well (size 3 currently) and still has a lot of room to grow with it. Size 3 is the last size where the material is 1” I believe. The matching collar in the bigger 1.5” looked to big/stiff and uncomfortable for her. The fit is great. She doesn’t seem to notice it on until she pulls on the leash. The overall energy from pulling impacts her core body and NOT just her neck. Lots of padding in the right places and have had no running problems. The buckles are very durable, yet are very smooth with clipping it on and off.ROAM is a great harness made by a good company with excellent customer service. Amazon should be held accountable for all their errors they make that cost customers and the product maker time and money yet Amazon gets off free for being lazy.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Complete disbelief when I opened my ROAM package to find obviously a returned, torn, dirty harness or maybe a disgruntled Amazon/ROAM employee? Regardless, it may be silly, but I was excited for this harness to come to go pick up my new English Cream Golden puppy from across the US. I’ve looked at the colors, the hardware, measurements- all to fit her perfect and keep her safe (of course she would have looked amazing in it too 😉) and now I’m stuck with making due findings something on the way.How does this happen? Is there no quality control? Nobody check items that are returned or sent out to customers?!!I’ve reached out to the company to hopefully get a ‘New’ harness.I purchased 1- 48” leash, 1 - 60” leash, a size 4 Explorer harness and a size 5- all to make sure I would have the correct sizing and fit to bring her home & the plan still failed :/Overall I could tell the quality of materials on seems top notch. Colors are beautiful, buckles open and close very easily and smooth. However it does appear the material was no match for a pooch who wanted loose to go on an adventure!

I first purchased the collar and was impressed with the latching hardware and durability, almost a year ago. I was happy when I found out that that Roam also made a matching harness, because I've struggled to find a harness for my domesticated cattledog that checks all the boxes. The adjustability beats any of the 3 or 4 harnesses we've used prior. Goes on and comes off easily without squeezing or getting stuck over her head and ears. It fits comfortably (I'd imagine) and the padded liner is a nice addition. The hardware is quality and sturdy and connection points are great. The grab handle is nice for the occasion that I have to straddle and hold her for a moment because she's spooked by a rabbit or something.If I could make one improvement suggestion, it would only be to add a front chest leash connection point.Color options are tasteful, and my girl looks pretty on Montana moonrise. (Coincidentally she was named after a moon.)We've put many miles on the full kit, and will continue to do so. I've stopped looking for alternatives since purchasing this set.

Roo is my first dog (small cattle dog 35lbs) and finally, 9 months after adopting her, I found the perfect harness! I’ve tried Wilderdog, Atlas Pet, Nonstop Dogwear, and a classic Amazon one but this really stands out. The color is gorgeous and the quality of materials and clasps, thick yet comfortable for my dog, and wow only $50?? It feels like it’s worth more. Makes it easier to walk her (she’s reactive to bikes and motorcycles) and even though there’s technically no front clasp, I clip the leash there anyway and it works! It fits her so well that it’s not loose/ineffective. I tried both a size 3 and 4 — the 3 fit perfectly!

We travelled with our dogs and wanted a harness that was comfortable, well made, sturdy and good looking! This was the perfect harness for our big chested Dalmatian and it was perfect for our Australian Shepherd as well! They were comfortable and we loved the handle to help them on and off transits, gondolas and in and out of the car. I recommend 100x over! They did tons of swimming, running, walking and we are home and it’s still in perfect condition. They didn’t have any armpit rubs and were comfortable sleeping in the car, or hanging out on patios. 10/10

*ORIGINAL REVIEW*I purchased this harness because I love the Roam collar/leash I've had for the past year. The harness is very nice, the handle is great and it's easy to get on and off. It seems very comfortable on my dog. I'm confident this will last awhile even with my big, rough and tumble dog.However, the colour is off and I am very disappointed by this. I ordered the Texas Flair colour, and as you can see in my pictures, it is bright red and not the dark burnt orange as advertised. I would've have preferred a darker, more muted colour than what I received because my dog rolls around a lot and now I am forced to clean the harness frequently.*UPDATED REVIEW*I updated this review from 3 to 5 stars because the seller reached out to me and not only offered a refund, they also offered to send me a replacement in another colour. Which is beyond generous. They were kind enough to recommend colours with a description that may work better for me and my pooch. I am completely blown away by this level of customer service. I have not received the new harness yet but I have no doubt it'll be a better fit for what I need. I will continue to be a repeat customer of this lovely business and recommend them to other dog owners.

was struggling to find a harness suitable for my 11m/o husky/australian shepherd mix, as he runs with/pulls on occasion my bike, so it needs to have some kind of padding and enough armpit clearance to be comfortable with how much running he does, happy to say after taking it for a spin this one seems to be perfect!! he's pulling more now- which in this case is a good thing and means hes more comfortable than his old harness.super easy to put on him/adjust, even though he is very wiggly. the handle is also appreciated as he is a puppy who needs one currently, also very useful to string the line that attaches his collar to the bike through, to keep it out of the way of his legs while running!very strongly built, doesn't feel weak at all, he's hard on stuff i get him having gone through 2 leashes in the 3 months i've had him, so i knew whatever harness i got would have to be pretty heavy duty, i think this will last a decently long time from what i've seen of it so far, really happy with it!also- arrived super quickly, less than a week which was wonderful!
