I feel the motor is not designed to stand up to full day use. Eventually the motor fails, or slows down and doesn't pass enough air to breathe easily

I bought this unit because passive filters won’t do in environments where you’re battling Claustrophobia and safety glass fog. The unit works great for keeping cool clean air flowing across your face in cramped environments while also keeping your face shield from fogging up. The fit is also solid even with a full beard and comfortable.A few drawbacks keep me from going with a full 5 star review. The charger and plug are unique and expensive to replace. The plug from the motor to the battery became internally worn and required me to bend the wire in just the right way in order to keep the blower on while slithering out of a crawlspace. $350 for a new blower with wire just because of this. I will reinforce the wire at the plug with an inch of electrical tape and a spring once I replace it. The weight of the motor on your chin can cause fatigue over time. Wire management is not well thought out, hence the stress on the plug that caused my failure. The replacement filters aren’t cheap and fiberglass insulation can clog a filter in no time. The filters have no washable pre-filter either. An air compressor can back blast the filters to get more use, but flow is still diminished. Pantyhose didn’t help pre-filter because the 1” opening in the main filter still gets clogged fast. I had limited success with cutting the bottom off a Solo Cup and using it to offset wrapping the pantyhose around the filter.Even with wrestling with these drawbacks I still can offer 4 stars because the alternatives are so much worse.
