HERTZ UNO Series K-165 6.5" Two-Way Component Speaker System (Pair)

Excellent for the money! I installed these in a vintage car and wasn’t expecting much, I was wrong! I’m the past I was an avid MB Quart guy (pre 2004 before they were sold) and used to be spend a lot on auto stereo stuff and I was always somewhat disappointed. I scaled back my expectations and bought these 6.5” components for a loud an Italian sports car. While these aren’t the MB Quart of the past, these things play loud and clear and I’m using an Alpine head unit (1990s) with speaker level outputs. Best $100 you can spend!

Excellent speakers. I came across these on a Youtube video by a Mercedes R129 SL owner. I only used the 6.5 in. woofers in the doors of my 1996 Mercedes SL320 with the factory Bose sound system. The original tweeters still worked fine. Perfect fit. The original screw holes lined up fine. I just added some 1/8 in. thick adhesive neoprene rubber to the back of the rim of the speakers to insulate the mounting. I had previously purchased the neoprene rubber sheet on Amazon.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great sounding speakers from Hertz entry level lineup. They play clear and loud installed in the doors of a 2007 Honda Accord. Full and articulate bass blending well with the tweeters mounted near the a-pillar. The tweeters are a little bright connected to the factory head unit which will be upgraded along with an amp tomorrow. I’m very pleased with the sound of Hertz Uno component speakers. Normally I lean towards Infinity and had considered MB Quart but the $99 price point was what steered my decision. Well done Hertz!

While they are a breeze to install. The tweeters are a bit shrill and the midbass leaves a bit to be desired. A deffinite upgrade over stock but next time in going with either a tried and true line of hertz or morrell maximos because I know I wnjoy and trust their sound and quality. If space is a concern these are excellent

I have replaced both of my Alpine and Kenwood sets with these speakers. They are so clear and crisp running off of an amp or factory stereo. The highs are super crisp but not shrill or fatiguing, the mids are clean and punchy. I paired them with Hertz DCX 165.3 in the rear and a single CT Sounds 8” Tropo and everyone thinks I have thousands in my setup. I can’t recommend enough.

Outstanding sound quality. Also these have high sensitivity which means they play louder at any given wattage. If you're only powering these with a head unit (less than 20 watts rms) and not an external amp, then you especially should consider these speakers. That said, they are also outstanding at higher wattage.

I was looking to upgrade my factory speakers that are already old and sound like a box of candy so a friend recommended these and they are good

Por el precio que tienen , no puedes pedir más . Se escuchan muy bien. Altavoces de gama baja. Instalados en Seat Ibiza 6j, la instalación muy sencilla con adaptadores específicos (no incluidos). Los volvería a comprar.

Salve bentrovati.. Prima di recensire questo Kit di Altoparlanti mi sento in dovere di fare alcune premesse: 1°) i Driver "perfetti" NON esistono! come non esistono le Orecchie perfette, anche se "Assolute".. (L'orecchio Assoluto è la rara capacità di identificare istantaneamente e con precisione l'altezza di una nota, [es. Do, Sol, La] di un suono musicale senza alcun riferimento esterno.) Quindi qualsiasi valutazione di merito si basa esclusivamente sulla propria capacità di PERCEPIRE il suono che varia da soggetto a soggetto. Per esempio io che sono vecchietto sento meno bene i toni Alti rispetto a quando ero più giovincello. E comunque sia la mia percezione del suono è vincolata da molteplici altri fattori individuali mediati dal cervello. Come anche le preferenze musicali per un certo genere anziché un altro.. Per cui l'unico modo "Scientifico" per valutare un Diffusore è osservare lo Spettro Grafico delle Frequenze.. Peccato che le variabili che entrano in gioco siano un infinità! Come lo strumento con cui si effettua la misurazione e il relativo microfono; l'ambiente in cui si effettua la misurazione; le Casse, cioè la "cassa di risonanza" in cui sono alloggiati gli Altoparlanti, come il volume e il suo Design; o la distanza dell'ascoltatore; la "Sorgente", cioè l'apparecchio che genera il "Suono", quindi lo "Stereo", l'Amplificatore, il Cross-Over etc. Ma anche l'Origine, quindi il supporto e il "File" audio caratterizzato per esempio dal "Volume Master", e tanti tanti altri fattori come il Bit Rate etc... Talmente tanti che un "OGGETTIVA" valutazione Scientifica è al momento praticamente impossibile da effettuare. Quindi Casse da 80.000€ (come le Nautilus) non significa, in linea di principio, che siano migliori di Box da 70€! anche se è molto probabile che lo siano! 😉 Però di contro mi sento di ricordare che grazie alla tecnologia "Digitale" il suono viene riprodotto abbastanza fedelmente nonostante i vari passaggi da un dispositivo all'altro in quanto "Generato" ogni volta "Ex Novo" dai vari apparecchi audio. (Questo spiega perché un CD anche se Masterizzato 1 milione di volte mantiene sempre la stessa qualità audio, a differenza di un Vinile o un Audiocassetta magnetica Analogica.) ​ 2°) Il "Test Audio" nel video allegato è ovviamente soltanto "Empirico", cioè senza alcuna valenza scientifica, anche se suffragato da un analizzatore di spettro in forma di App su un Tablet Android. Comunque a titolo indicativo voglio integrare alcuni dati in merito al test effettuato e non scritti nella descrizione sovraimpressa del video. Il volume, sia della "Fonte" (il PC), che la "Sorgente" (lo Stereo), erano all'80%. La "Cassa Acustica" in cui erano alloggiati gli Speaker, ricavata da un contenitore in Polistirolo per Mozzarelle di Bufala Campane e Cartone stratificato, aveva un volume interno di circa 15 Litri. Quindi superiore al volume richiesto per un Woofer da 16 cm di diametro che è di circa 8 Lt. (con "Bass Reflex" cioè a cassa Aperta con il buco). 3°) due Curiosità: questo test mi ha fatto scoprire l'incredibile efficienza sonora di una Cassa Audio fatta di Polistirolo e Cartone Lamellare! E nel video, manco a farlo apposta, per tutto il tempo l'unica pubblicità che appare nell'App dello Spettrografo è quella di Amazon! 😆 E ora veniamo al dunque.. la mia personale recensione.. In questo periodo ho comprato una notevole quantità di Altoparlanti, tra cui altri due Kit simili a 2 vie (Woofer + Tweeter) da 16' per auto a 4 Ω Ohm, anche di marchi abbastanza "blasonati", è devo dire che questi qui della HERTZ, marchio che conoscevo ma a cui non davo particolare attenzione, si sono rivelati una vera scoperta in termini di "qualità sonora". Innanzitutto comincerei dal diametro della Membrana del Med-Woofer, che con i sui 14,5 cm Ø è fra i più grandi della sua categoria.. Di solito si attestano a meno di 13,5 cm. Sembrano valori irrisori ma a quanto pare contribuiscono a fare la differenza. Infatti la "Risposta in Frequenza" e la resa sonora in Decibel indicata, che mi sembrava troppo ottimistica, è verosimilmente molto più attinente di quanto pensassi! Talmente tanto da farmi scrivere questa entusiastica recensione.. E a me piace scrivere due tipi di recensione: quelle catastrofiche di prodotti qualitativamente pessimi e quelle di articoli che invece mi entusiasmano a tal punto da volerle condividere con il mondo! soprattutto se si tratta di oggetti che non costano una fortuna. Perché a fare cose qualitativamente valide a prezzi proibitivi sono capaci tutti! E non a caso mi da più gioia una cassa costruita da scarti della monezza che si sente da Dio, che una da 1 milione di Dollari (ed esistono). [la solita Volpe con L'Uva Acerba.. che sono.. 😜​] Insomma, in conclusione, posso tranquillamente affermare che questi Altoparlanti della Hertz (Marchio Italiano dell'Hi-Fi) sono un ottima scelta, visto anche il rapporto qualità/prezzo, particolarmente evidente durante il periodo del "Black Friday" in cui le ho comprate proprio perché invogliato dalla promozione. Quindi i circa 70€ che costano indicativamente sono soldi assolutamente ben spesi. "Provare per Credere" come recitava un famoso slogan di un spot anni 80 del fu mobilificio Aiazzone. E se non vi piace la resa "Audiofila" grazie al programma PRIME di Amazon potete sempre restituirle purché immacolate.. (e non bruciate perché le avete collegate ad un amplificatore da 500 watt! 😂) Unico difetto che per ora mi sento di comunicare è il collegamento e i cavi dei Tweeter a mio avviso un po troppo sottodimensionati e con saldature a stagno poco efficienti anche se incapsulate nella resina di un qualche mastice. E un "Condensatore Filtro" direttamente istallato sui suddetti cavi che rendono questa soluzione un po anacronistica e poco consona a chi è uno "Smanettone" audio e il Cross-Over ce lo mette da se in base alle proprie esigenze, come ho fatto anch'io. For the money, you can't go wrong. They play low, clear and loud. I'm only feeding them 22wrms from a kenwood deck with basic digital time alignment and my plans plans of external amplification are no longer considered (coming from JL HD and AC Dsp amps). I always play new speakers with no eq to see how the speaker itself plays and with them x over at 60hz at 24db, i have an almost perfectly flat response with my Dayton imm6 rta setup(slight peak at the tweeter in the 3-5khz range, slight null over 16khz) Missing the sub bass obviously but they play exactly what they are meant to very well with a punchy mid range and only modest power feeding them. Highly recommended for upgrading most garbage stock speakers being 93db sensitivity.
